The El Chapo Trial May Have Revealed A Deep State Rabbit HolesteemCreated with Sketch.

in #news6 years ago (edited)

The most notorious drug kingpin in the world is going away for life. The federal jury in Brooklyn convicted Joaquin Guzman, better known to the world as El Chapo, on all ten counts of his indictment. Those include engaging in a continuing enterprise, conspiracy to manufacture and distribute cocaine, heroin, meth, and weed, firearms charges, and conspiracy to launder drug money.

El Chapo Trial

The trial went forward under near-lockdown and that makes sense. Wherever El Chapo goes violence follows and wherever he's imprisoned he tends to escape.

Inside the courtroom prosecutors from the eastern district of New York offered a staggering range of evidence including wiretapped phone calls, intercepted text messages, and Chapo's own handwritten notes.

So, it wasn't surprising that the jury found him guilty. What was surprising was that it took them so long. Six days of deliberations. Part of the delay was that the jury wanted to be thorough with such a complicated case and so much evidence, but the other factor was that count 1 of his indictment was incredibly complicated with 27 different violations for the jury to consider.

Chapo's defense lawyers tried to frame the government's case as a personal crusade against a popular villain and they said afterward that the case was tried in the media.

The 44-day trial resembled a circus with reporters lining up as early as 2 AM in freezing temperatures and snow storms to get one of the coveted seats inside the courtroom.

In the end, there were some legal nuances. The jury asked to review testimony from more than a half dozen witnesses and for a while there it looked like the government's slam dunk case might have been falling apart. The jury sent word that it had reached a verdict and the government got one of its biggest victories, and maybe its only victory, the war on drugs that it always seems to be losing.

Richard Donoghue, the U.S. Attorney General from the Eastern District of New York, said after the verdict;

This conviction is a victory for the American people who have suffered so long and so much while Guzman made billions pouring poison over our southern border.

Chapo looked stunned as the verdict was read as he turns and locked eyes with his wife who flashed him a thumbs up and fought back tears as he was escorted out of the courtroom.

Chapo won't be sentenced until June but we already know he's going to get life with no parole because it's a mandatory sentence under count 1 of his indictment. He's almost certainly going to spend the rest of his days at ADX Florence, a federal super-max prison in Colorado known as the Alcatraz of the Rockies. The prison already houses another powerful Mexican drug kingpin along with spies, terrorist, and gang leaders.

Inmates at ADX Florence are isolated from each other in solitary confinement and they have limited contact with the outside world. No prisoner has ever escaped but then again they never had an inmate quite like El Chapo.

Did El Chapo Spill The Beans On Paid Off Politicians?

There was a source during the hearing before El Chapo was even sentenced, a story that started to leak in the press and has now been hushed up, that El Chapo exposed the politicians that he gave millions and millions of dollars to during their campaigns.

Apparently, there were emails revealed during the investigation that El Capo gave $15 mil to Hillary Clinton's foundation while she was Secretary Of State.

Of course, the mainstream media is going to kill and discredit a story like this before the general population even gets a chance to hear it or it would trigger further investigation.

On Jan. 9 2017, the web site Times.com.mx published an article reporting that “El Chapo” donated to Clinton. The site claimed that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had broken the news while speaking at a “conference over the weekend.”

While the author claimed that Assange made the comment at a “conference” over the weekend of Jan. 7th and 8th, Snopes reported that the included photograph was actually taken in February 2016, when the WikiLeaks founder appeared via a video stream for a news conference. In that conference, Assange discussed his possible extradition to Sweden over a sexual assault charge. There was no talk from him regarding improper donations from “El Chapo” to the Clinton campaign.

While Times.com.mx has suggested that Assange made his comment in a room full of reporters, there has been no reporting showing surfaced video clips confirming that Assange made any such statement. Times.com.mx also failed to provide any links to back up their sources or any specific details which would lend it credibility. source

This was around the same time that Obama was president and Holder was the Attorney General letting machine guns walk to Mexican drug cartels, a program also known as Fast And Furious.

"Gunwalking", or "letting guns walk", was a tactic of the Arizona Field Office of the United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which ran a series of sting operations between 2006[4] and 2011 in the Tucson and Phoenix area where the ATF "purposely allowed licensed firearms dealers to sell weapons to illegal straw buyers, hoping to track the guns to Mexican drug cartel leaders and arrest them". These operations were done under the umbrella of Project Gunrunner, a project intended to stem the flow of firearms into Mexico by interdicting straw purchasers and gun traffickers within the United States. The Jacob Chambers Case began in October 2009 and eventually became known in February 2010 as "Operation Fast and Furious" after agents discovered Chambers and the other suspects under investigation belonged to a car club.

The stated goal of allowing these purchases was to continue to track the firearms as they were transferred to higher-level traffickers and key figures in Mexican cartels, with the expectation that this would lead to their arrests and the dismantling of the cartels. The tactic was questioned during the operations by a number of people, including ATF field agents and cooperating licensed gun dealers. During Operation Fast and Furious, the largest "gunwalking" probe, the ATF monitored the sale of about 2,000 firearms, of which only 710 were recovered as of February 2012. A number of straw purchasers have been arrested and indicted; however, as of October 2011, none of the targeted high-level cartel figures had been arrested. source

Allegedly Chapo named Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and a slew of other politicians he paid bribes to look the other way as he smuggled drugs into the U.S. and as soon as he started naming names the courtroom doors were closed to the public.

Why Democrats Are Against Stronger Border Security?

sourceShe must be high on coke to believe this

Hillary Clinton has been connected to drug money before and that story was covered up. You can learn more about that in the documentary on the subject going back to when Bill Clinton was still Governor of Arkansas called The Mena Cover-Up - Bill & Hillary Clinton's Arkansas Cocaine Operation Exposé. Here's the full video.

Some say there could be more than partisan politics behind Pelosi's opposition to a wall on the southern border. A Batch of recently released FBI files from more than half a century ago might provide a clue. According to documents dating back to 1947, the FBI director J. Edgar Hoover suspected Pelosi's father, also a prominent figure in the Democrat party, of ties to the mafia.

Pelosi's father, Thomas D'Alesandro Jr., was Democrat congressman from Maryland between 1939 and 1947 and the mayor of Baltimore from 1947-1959. He drew the attention of the FBI in the mid-fourty's when the FBI was investigating one of Baltimore's top mafia bosses. Pelosi’s father was a close associate of the notorious mobster Benjamin “Benny Trotta” Magliono, as well as several other criminals.

When one starts to think about this huge criminal drug enterprise run by El Chapo that went on for so many years without being shut down and put it in context with the whole political reasoning for why the Democrats are so against building a wall on the southern border of the US, the optics don't look good for the Democratic party.

Thousands of weapons were shipped south under Obama and billions of dollars of drugs flooded north while the Dems are doing everything in their power to slow or stop stronger border security under Trump, one can easily read between the lines and conclude they are profiting from this corruption.

Did Drug Cartels Pay Off Politicians On Both Sides Of The Border?

Is it possible the cartels are part of the democrat's pay-to-play scheme and have them all in their pockets? If El Chapo and the drug cartels have paid the Democrats millions of dollars to keep the border open and are partnered to keep control of the southern border using politicians o both sides of the border to run their business this would be a huge story.

It is confirmed the drug cartels paid Mexican politicians off going as high as the president of Mexico. Why would they stop there? It makes perfect sense to pay off the other side of the wall where your main market is to ensure your drugs reach your main market.

At the very least the FBi should investigate these claims to put the story to rest if it's untrue. But what if it is true?

In a related story, Senator Ted Cruz is proposing a new source of funding for a border wall: recently convicted drug kingpin El Chapo. I guess that's one way to make Mexico pay for the wall.

Cruz originally introduced the Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order Act or EL CHAPO for short, in April of 2017. It would reserve any "illegally obtained profits resulting from any criminal drug trafficking enterprise led by Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera" for border security measures, which could include a wall. This includes any funds forfeited by Guzman in this case or future cases involving his former associates.

Cruz reintroduced the bill last month.
">
By leveraging any criminally forfeited assets of El Chapo and other murderous drug lords, we can offset the cost of securing our border and make meaningful progress toward delivering on the promises made to the American people," Cruz said in a statement at the time. source

Wow great find! Clinton’s seem to always be just ahead of the law. And now Pelosi?

I think all politicians are criminals to a certain degree or at least corrupt, especially if they have been in that system for a long time. They almost have to be to survive in that space.

I would agree with that statement. It almost seems like the corrupt ones are intentionally promoted to these positions because they are more controllable.

There's a saying in the military, "You fuck up, you move up."

It refers to the practice of promoting people who have failed in their duties in a way the leaves them compromised, hence controllable, provided they will fall in line with their superior's bidding.

I imagine politicians behave similarly. Once they're compromised they're easier to control and so get promoted.

That practice is indicative of a broken system.

Thanks for that in depth summary!
I lived in Arkansas under Governor Clinton, worked with a girl from Mena. I knew what was going on there long before it was news, knew the Clintons should be going to jail not the White House. It has been a long 25 years or so, watching and waiting... hoping justice finds them somehow. Still waiting... maybe this time?

Isn't it crazy that not only do they escape the law, but the actually have the nerve to accuse others of crimes they have committed themselves?

Ritual mockery...
