US War Crimes and Civilian Massacres in Euphrates Valley continue in the name of 'fighting ISIS' - As many as 200 civilians killed by coalition in past 2 weeks alone

November 21, local sources informed the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) on Wednesday that US coalition warplanes had carried out yet another massacre in eastern Deir Ezzor in the Euphrates Valley, once again targeting the small city of Hajin with internationally-banned white phosphorous bombs, "martyring and injuring a number of civilians," SANA reported - making this the 5th time the US has been accused of using the internationally-banned chemical munitions in attacks on Hajin since mid-September.

The exact death toll for this latest massacre was not given, however SANA is reporting that during the past week, US coalition airstrikes in the Euphrates Valley had killed over 100 civilians, including with white phosphorous and cluster bombs.

EDIT: There is also video footage on Twitter depicting the alleged use of white phosphorous by the coalition in this latest attack. Screenshots below for documentation:

Just days prior to this, some 43 civilians were killed in a US massacre in villages near Hajin on Saturday, and just 2 days earlier the US coalition airstrikes killed at least 23 civilians in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

At least 40 civilians were killed in the village of al-Buqa’n (Buqaan) in the middle of the Euphrates River Valley in the US airstrikes on November 17, according to both SANA and a medical source speaking to the ISIS-linked news agency AMAQ, while the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed the strikes and reported the death toll had risen to 43, reporting that civilians had been killed in their homes in the village of Abu al-Hassanin (which sits right next to al-Buqaan). The SOHR said that 17 children and 12 women had been killed in the attack, adding that it was yet unclear whether the 13 men who had been killed in the strikes were militants.

“US-led coalition warplanes committed a massacre that’s considered the biggest since September 10, when the coalition and the Syrian Democratic Force (SDF) began their operation to neutralize ISIS in the region [Euphrates Valley],” the SOHR said in its report. - SouthFront

Just 2 days earlier in another massacre on November 15, the US coalition reportedly killed 23 civilians in airstrikes carried out in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and at that time (on 11/15) the SOHR said coalition airstrikes had killed 103 civilians in the Euphrates Valley over the last week. Just 6 days before this, Common Dreams had documented reports of at least 80 civilians killed by US coalition bombings from October 24 through November 3.

A US bombing of a Mosque in the village of al-Susah in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside reportedly killed at least 46 civilians on October 20, and the US doesn't seem to have a problem with these civilian massacres because it's all in the name of 'fighting ISIS.'

The US coalition has been successfully destroying homes and other civilian infrastructure, dropping internationally-banned white phosphorous bombs, massacring civilians by the dozen, and internally displacing hundreds more in its so-called 'fight against terror'; yet the US and its Kurdish proxy-fighters have made no notable gains against ISIS in the past few months since the operation to 'clear ISIS from the Euphrates Valley' was launched on September 10.

On the very same day this 'defeat ISIS mission' was launched, the US coalition used white phosphorous bombs in a massacre in Hajin, according to the Russian MOD. “Following the strikes, large fires were observed in the area,” Lieutenant-General Vladimir Savchenko said Sunday. The use of white phosphorous often results in long-burning fires due to its nature of igniting spontaneously in the presence of oxygen. Photos quickly surfaced of this alleged use of white phosphorous:

This would be just the first of 4 times the US coalition would be accused of using white phosphorous between September 10 and November 3. Whitney Webb wrote an excellent article covering and documenting this use of the banned substance by the US coalition, published at MintPress News on November 6:

The use of white phosphorous munitions in heavily populated civilian areas, such as in the city of Hajin, is a war crime. Every alleged use of the banned substance by the US coalition in Syria since September has been on the small city of Hajin, along with a number of the conventional airstrikes targeting the region. Whitney Webb points out a likely reason for the US focus on this small city:

Notably, Hajin is the site of an important Syrian oil refinery, making it an area of interest to the U.S.-led coalition, which is currently occupying 30% of Syria as well as the areas containing the vast majority of the country’s oil resources.

Prior to these recent cases, the use of white phosphorous munitions by the US coalition in Iraq's Mosul and Syria's Raqqa had been well documented, including an admission of its use in Iraq by a coalition general in an interview with NPR. See the photo below from Human Rights Watch which shows "the alleged use of white phosphorus by the US coalition in Syria and Iraq":

The 5 most recent cases of alleged white phosphorous use in Syria by the coalition were on September 10, October 13, October 29, November 3 and November 21. In some cases 'opposition' militants even captured video footage of the banned munitions being dropped on Hajin.

Below is a screenshot of the use of white phosphorous bombs by the US coalition on November 3 over Hajin, from a militant-provided video clip - sourced from R&U videos, also confirmed by SANA on Nov. 5 via "civil sources" in Hajin:

At least 14 civilians were killed in the US massacre in Hajin and the nearby al Sh’afa city on November 3, mostly women and children, with SANA and other Syrian media reporting 15 civilian deaths. 3 siblings from a single family seen in the photo below were all killed instantly in a bombing of their family home.

On November 9, at least 26 civilians were killed in another US massacre in which coalition warplanes targeted civilian houses across the city of Hajin, destroying many homes, while some of the victims were also women and children. Two more children and 2 women were then killed in US airstrikes on the city of Hajin the very next day.

The US has over the past 2 months denied that the coalition is using white phosphorous, despite numerous witnesses, images, and particularly video footage depicting the white phosphorous attacks on Hajin indicating otherwise. When Syria's president Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Arab Army allegedly use chemical weapons to attack civilian areas under terrorist control, despite a complete lack of evidence, the US condemns the 'heinous war crimes' of the 'evil baby-murderer Assad' and launches over a hundred cruise missiles at Damascus. When the US is accused of using internationally-banned chemical weapons to commit war crimes against civilians in a city under ISIS control, complete with video evidence of the white phosphorous munitions being deployed, nothing happens.

The US hypocrisy and US coalition war crimes are on full display. It's no wonder the world no longer takes the ridiculous claims of the US Empire seriously anymore. And while it is understood that civilian casualties are unavoidable when fighting radical Jihadi terrorists in populated urban areas such as Hajin, the fact remains that the US coalition backed by the firepower of the largest military war machine on earth has been entirely unable or unwilling to make any notable gains against ISIS for over 2 whole months of its 'anti-ISIS' operations in the Euphrates River Valley.

The Russian and Syrian claims ring truer today than ever, that the US is intent on continued existence of the small ISIS pocket in the Euphrates Valley, without which the US would have no pretext to justify on the world stage its reason for the military occupation of an entire third of a sovereign nation, coincidentally the most oil-rich third of the country...

The words of a song now come to mind - "Government full of murderers and land thieves," nothing could be more true, evidenced so clearly by the recent US actions in Syria. May the days of this evil Empire & all its war crimes be very numbered.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and have a great day!

I wouldn't call myself a liberal open borders type, quite the opposite in fact but if true this is outrageous for my (UK) govt to be involved in this.
