Prague Castle defended its title of the most visited tourist attraction in the country!

CzechTourism, a major tourism agency in the Czech Republic, has just published its latest ranking of the most visited tourist attractions of the country.

Just like last year, the Prague Castle claimed the victory here with incredible 2.38 million visitors annually. This iconic Prague landmark (and the largest castle complex in the world, by the way) was followed by the Petrin Cable Car (2.07 million visitors) and the Prague Zoo (1.45 million visitors).

Six out of the top ten places are in Prague but the popularity of regional tourist attractions has been also growing. More and more people have been visiting places such as the Bohemian Switzerland National Park, the towns of Hluboka nad Vltavou, Liberec and Ostrava or the South Moravian Region that is famous for wine-making and stunning landscapes.

Hi @czechglobalhosts, What a brilliant rating update by you now. Prague castle has pretty adorable looks indeed amazing architectural technique used for build up. Actually Czech Republic being most beautiful tourist attraction state around the world coz wonderful creativity. 2.38 millions people went there, it's amazing attraction.
Prague castle is one of the most important and beauitiful by its location and architectural technique used for build up. Prague Castle is the major attraction when visiting Prague. Castle was most likely founded in around 880. And one of the historical place in prague. Castle is an ancient symbol of the Czech State, the most significant Czech monument and one of the most important cultural institutions in the Czech Republic.
I don't know if I'm the only one but I prefer the castle when I'm at the river than when I'm at the castle. It's just my opinion but I think the castle is more beautiful from far away!
Man those are some great numbers. I am not sure if they are up or down from the previous years but nevertheless it is without a doubt one of the best tourist numbers sheet that I have seen. Considering we are just talking about the top few spots.
Then there are other lesser known locations in the country side where millions of people pass by, camp, visit, party or just chill out at, that we have no information for. Frankly the total numbers could be well up in tens of millions.

Amazing capture....prague castle has been an important symbol of the Czech state for more than a thousand years..history of the prague castle and practical information for visitors...prague is the largest castle in the world....such a beautiful post...thanks for sharing..

That is such a good news @czechglobalhosts. I really appreciate Prague for setting all these brilliant records and then defending their titles over time. It is not an easy job but this country does it all. Really Gkad on that castle defending the title of the popular tourist place.
Czech Tourism is the highest ranked among the world. The Prague castle just defended it's title in it's best way. It suited to be the best and proved it's worth once again. Tremendous achievement. Keep up the good work.
