Heatwave, drought and danger of wild fires in the Czech Republic continue
Hi everyone!
I have already informed you about the crazy weather that my homeland, the Czech Republic (as well as most Europe) has been struggling with recently in THIS POST but unfortunately, it seems there is still no end in sight to the heatwave and all the related-phenomena.

For more than a week, we have have been dealing with temperatures of up to 38 °C (100 °F), an extreme drought and a significant risk of wild fires. Thousands of tons of fish have died in Czech rivers and lakes because of the heat and the lack of oxygen in the water.
Many Czech towns and villages have had to ban using tap water to water gardens and fill swimming pools as water is getting more and more scarce. Farmers have been counting damage to their crops caused by the extreme weather and they will have to ask the government for compensation.

According to the forecast, the devastating heatwave might last for up to another week so let us hope it will finally come to an end then. What is the situation in your countries, my fellow Steemians? Let me know in comments.

It's pretty much like you described here in Norway as well, except that we have had two days of rain about a week ago. This reduced the problems with wildfires a little bit, but it's still far away from being safe. It would be great to get a huge rain shower soon, but the weather forecast does not seem to agree :(

I think this year in Europe it's just everywhere very hot, even in Luxembourg it's way too hot now, I just want to stay in the water all day hha, good post my friend and stay "cool" and be safe from the sun ☀️ GREETINGS TO YOU 😊😊
In Bulgaria is one of the coldest summer season for the last decades!

@czechglobalhosts, yeap I was wandering how come in Scandinavia was warmer in June-July, than in Bulgaria or Greece.

Sad to hear about the weather you are getting these days, But i want to tell you the weather we are getting in my city, 40 DEgree is normal here and we see it so often. I hope you The weather show some changes in the coming days and you start getting cold weather.
Yeah, I know that that temperature is normal for a lot of you guys but here it can have devastating effects on nature and many living creatures as well..... Hopefully it will end soon so the damage is not as wast....
The same for us here in germany... in some regions it has not rained since eastern. Very harmful to the nature environment, but also to the poor farmers.
And i do not want to see my water bill... this will explode.
Have to water everyday the garden, my rain barrel is empty since weeks.
Perhaps i should do a rain dance. :-)

Hi @czechglobalhost in pakistan we also face same kind of problems. today is too hot its above to 32 F...and we also face load shedding.... But still happy because its all are a part of life ☺
Really Europe thats kinda strange to hear heatstrokes at that place,we humans have really destroyed our nature nd its all due to global warming

Same as there... even for Portugal, absolutely insane. Yesterday night the temperature was 30ºC where I live, not far from Lisbon, and probably close to 40ºC now!
We're having the same issues in Austria right now. Still it's summer time so I guess it's not that unusual to have some heat!
You mean this curse(the heat wave) is gonna last even more. Thats a really very sad news. Alreaxy many forests have been all burnt to ashes and vast areas of green land destroyed. Still lets hope for the best and pray this gets over as quick as possible. Thanks for sharing.
