The purpose of this contest is to meet new people, have exposure for something you created this week, and a chance to win SBD.
Sometimes really cool posts get lost in the flood of posts especially for those of us that are new, don’t have a large following or cannot afford advertising. I would like to give new users a chance to have some of their work viewed by a larger part of the steem community and also a chance at some SBD both for entering and also commenting. Payouts:
Best post with either a #newbieresteemday tag or #newbiegames 40% of SBD from this post
Best post by a redfish (account with less than 1000 SP) = 40% of SBD payout from this post
Best comment = 10% of SBD payout from this post ANYONE IS eligible for this award
Redfish interact prize = 10% of SBD payout split up between all redfish that particpate but don’t win.

Read a post by at least 2 other contestants and comment(and/or upvote) on at least one that you really liked or felt motivated to respond to.
To be eligible to win best post you must be a redfish.
To win the contest:
To get the participation prize you must comment or upvote someone else!
The best comment will be decided by myself and only awarded if the post gets more than 1.5 SBDS in payout
The best post will be awarded based on the number of votes a post receives.
Each comment is worth 1 vote for the post.
Each upvote is worth ½ a vote for a post.
Here is an example:
If we use this example: @williamsyee would get 3.5 votes.
There are 3 upvotes = 1.5 votes
2 comment votes = 2 votes

Contest closes a week from today, the sooner you post the more likely you are to get more votes.
An upvote is not required to join this contest but, as the prize is a % of the SBD payout it is encouraged that you upvote and resteem to increase the prize payout.
Payout will be within 24 hours of this posts expiration and will be announced in a winners post.
I reserve the right to refuse payment and award prize to someone if you are caught buying votes.
You will get 2 upvotes just for entering, some weeks they aren't worth much and some weeks they are worth 0.01 each.

Nice. I'd love to redesign our kitchen, but sadly I think the cost of the work involved in getting something we're happy with would make it prohibitive. We may be better off saving some more and building our dream home instead.
Totally understand that, the renovation work is not cheap tho. Great that you saving money towards your dream home!

I can really relate to the excitement you are getting with your renovations! Because last year me and my family renovated our house and it turned out to really Good! Such a good feeling when u finished a project made by your very own hands. And this year I'm helping my brother to renovate his house😂, goodluck to us😂
Exactly! The feeling will be super duper awesome when you work hard to find contractors, working out for the design and at the end you see the masterpiece just right infront of you! I can't wait for it to get done serisouly lol.

I wrote up a little review on a "game" that tries to help you work on your habits - although admittedly, the tl;dr is that I think it's a cute idea that, well, would work better with say SBD as a reward
What I didn't say in this post is that I've thought about, using Habitica as inspiration, creating a community for tracking habits. So basically people would do daily posts somehow proving they did a habit, then they get an upvote as a reward. But my upvote is worth $0 so if someone else thinks that's cool, that'd be even cooler...

I agree with your review. The idea sounds interesting, but like you noted, it's too easy to cheat if there's no way to "validate" if the person really changed his/her habits or not. I haven't played it to know whether the RPG part is fun or not, but if it were really fun, I wouldn't mind the rewards being just ingame stuff. But if the game were to have STEEM/SBD as rewards, I think it'd need even better validation, because if money is involved, people will tend to want to game the system even more...
That's a great idea with the Steem integration. Maybe when you are a whale you can get to work on a collaboration.
Even without it, I think that a lot of people will enjoy the game.

I've recently learned about the rewards dust threshold on Steemit, and I wrote a post talking about how I had been wasting my votes on comments. So, this is my entry:

I was thinking that this is a kind of contest I can't join because my visual impairment doesn't let me draw anymore... but papercrafts are okay too?
I used to draw when I was a child, when my vision was a bit better, and lately I've been starting to miss it... I think I'll need to figure out a creative way to get back into drawing... and also resurrect my origami skills :D .

Hello @aiyumi! Sad to hear that drawing is hard for you to do now, is digital drawing a option? the computer gives light so maybe it helps? Just thinking with you ;) They should invent something that you feel what you draw or so....

Digital drawing wouldn't help... but I agree, I also wish someone would invent something that'd let me feel what I draw, like some drawing tablet with different textures for the traces or something... and preferably in a way that produces digital art to reduce use of paper! I threw a lot of paper away when my drawings went wrong.
I had known how to make an origami fish (I think I still remember how to make that) and also a seahorse (though I forgot how to make this one). Sadly, nothing on mermaids, but now you got me wondering too!
To bad that digital wouldn't help. Now that I think about it, a week back I saw a lady on TV who didn't had vision or almost nothing and she painted the most beautiful things she could see some colors but did it all on her feel of the paint and she would paint with her fingers. It was really inspiring to see. That is something you can feel but you gotta love that though ;)
I have a post on the origami gold fish :D love it! Seahorse sounds hard never saw it but I am curious about that too! Whatever you come up with for the SeaWorld will be fine, star, turtle, fish, dolfin, octopus?? Haha! Nice to meet you btw ;) X
