the problem with prostitution in Jaco Costa Rica

If anyone follows my page which there's not much to follow yet they would know that I went down to Costa Rica 2 weeks ago . So I get to this amazing city called Jaco which is kind of a tourist city but mostly for surfers . My very first night here me and my good friend Lennon say "hey you feel like making a quick extra dollar " I said sure we should go to the casino , so we head out to the casino keep in mind were in Costa Rica where prostitution is legal which we shortly learned the day after about. Me and Lennon are walking there and every corner a man would ask us hey do you guys need cocaine or weed , we kept saying no and tried hurrying along as fast as we could . We arrived at the cAsino around 11pm on a Tuesday night and we walk in to being shocked thAt a whole casino had only had one blackjack dealer, Little did we think that anything was up we go to the bar to grab a cold refreshment , I got one rum and coke for the whole night , I looked outside to see the crowd and it was all women you could obviously tell were prostitutes . Shortly after I ordered my drink.a prostitute came up.to me and tried flirting with me and I told her sorry I'm not interested , so a few hours later after we had left and returned to the hostel we were staying at apparently my mates were telling me I was beyond drunk and I had only had one drink all night . They told me I passed out in the bathroom as well as in my friends bed . I couldn't remember anything from the night only when I finished the drink .

The morning after I start asking around what had happened and everyone said I had looked as I got drugged. No questioning to my mates that were sobers conclusion I had concluded the same . I come to find out that the casino is really no casino at all , it's so organized brothel where men with money would come to buy prostitutes . Now Comes into play why they drugged me . My local surfer friend here told me that they drug lads to get them to want to.buy the women and then after the women get paid he said they Rob the men of their luggage wallet passport and phone . Good thing I stayed away from the women that night but I do remember the one who slipped me roofies .

So I'm going out to the club one night with everyone from the hostel and were in a very large group . We go in and everyone's having a great time . I see the woman who drugged me at the bar the first night here so I go up and confront here on it saying "I know what you did to me to try and get me to be vulnerable and be robbed because I'm an American" her completely in denial after a few minutes of confrontation I walk away. My mates had also warned me to watch out for pickpocketers and I had kept my hands close to My side at mostly all times . Well the woman I had confronted which was "Working streets that night " had came up and tried apologizing to me saying she will buy me a beer and declined her offer in disbelief thinking that she thought I was dumb enough for it to happen again . So she walks away with a smile I had noticed and didn't think anything of it . Well 30 minutes later I go to check my phone and its out of my pocket , she had distracted me while somebody had gone and pickpocketed me . My suggestion to everyone is either don't come to Jaco or be very prepared and don't be drinking down here I was going to be making weekly updates but as you all can see my phone's gone so thank you for reading my story stay tuned
