Wool Skirt / ウールのスカート
I'm happy to be back to #needleworkmonday as I was more like a reader of the posts of the tag these days :)
My upcoming project is to sew a wool skirt. I wanted to sew one but hesitate to do so because soon spring comes. But now it's sub zero in Germany and I found wool fabric 20% off in my favorite fabric store last weekend. So why don't I sew my wool skirt!
I will make a simple knee-length skirt with jersey like baby pants I sewed so that I can wear it comfortably for my desk work, house work and traveling. The length is a bit adjustable by doing so. Using a simple pattern is beneficial to sew it quickly, make it hard to break and easy to fix even it's broken. Also I have more possibility to reuse the fabric in the future.
And yes, I make a pocket(s) this time for sure ... not like the skirt and the dress I posted before.

最近洋裁をしていなくて月曜日は #needleworkmonday こと針仕事の月曜日の投稿をいいなあと眺めるばかりでした。
そんな中、週末にお気に入りの生地屋さんをのぞいたらウールの生地がなんと20%オフ！ウールのスカートは縫いたいと思っていたものの春が来るし・・・と思っていたらまさかのマイナス10度を切る日々で、きっとお天気も縫えといっているのだなと衝動買いしてしまいました。
シンプルな膝丈の形にして、ウエスト部分は赤ちゃんパンツの要領でニット地を使って生活も仕事も旅も楽々、長さも調節できます。シンプルなパターンと作りにしておくと、作るのが簡単なだけでなく、壊れにくくて壊れても修理をしやすく、のちのち赤ちゃんのものや小物に作り替えることもできます。
そして今度こそ以前書いた旅するスカートやワンピースを教訓に（？）ポケットをつけます。。。
今週ひと仕事終えて縫い始めるのが楽しみです。来週の Needle Work Monday に投稿できたらいいな :)

What pretty wool fabric--and even better that you got it on sale! Are you thinking of making a long or a shorter skirt?
Yes I was lucky to find the fabric :) It'll be around knee-length and adjustable by plus/minus around 3cm.

Great idea to buy reduced fabric - nothing like a bargain - and now the weather is obliging you by being so cold! I like the marled colour, look forward to seeing your skirt.
The marled color caught my eyes and I couldn't help buying it. It looks warm with wool texture but at the same time it reminds me spring green. I post the outcome it on next, next next or next next next ... Monday ;)

I learned that pockets are must from former projects ... My failure pattern is: I couldn't wait sewing and wearing then omit pockets ;)

私の亡くなった祖母が洋裁をしまくっていたので、私も影響を受けて、中学生の頃は色々作りました。
懐かしい思い出です♡
ミシンが壊れてから10年以上…何も作っていません…。
ウールのスカート、とても機能的な作品に仕上がりそうですね(^^)
なんと。うちも祖母が洋裁をしていて私もいろいろ作っていました :) 今のミシンは突然縫いたくなってAmazonで衝動買いした家庭用のお手頃価格のものですがずいぶんきれいに縫えますよ〜 ニットも。洋裁復活いかがでしょう、なんて！

実は私もドイツに住んでいます。ドイツ語は話せますか？
ドイツ在住、たしか @fukako さんのフランクフルトへの小旅行記を読んでもしやと思っていました。ドイツの人は英語がうまいのと、ベルリン時代などは外国からドイツに来ている人もたくさんいてドイツ語の勉強を怠けに怠けてきたのですが、赤ちゃんが幼稚園にあがるまでにはもうちょっとなんとかしないと・・・という目標がでました ;) 読み書きはゆーーーっくりできますが、リアルタイムで話すのが一番苦手です。
