My Nomad Dress / 普段も旅にも便利なワンピース
Following on my traveling skirt I posted few weeks ago this time I write about my traveling or to say nomad dress. It is a long ankle length dress in a relaxed shape. It's useful for everyday and also convenient for traveling. It becomes quite small when I fold and roll it, it doesn't wrinkle easily and it dries quickly. I sewed it as a relaxing cloth when I was pregnant. I found the fabric discounted at my favorite store and I couldn't help buying.
何週間か前に投稿した旅するスカートに続いて旅するワンピースです :) 普段着になり楽ちん旅行着になり、丸めると小さくなってしわになりにくく、洗ってすぐ乾くので重宝しています。まだ赤ちゃんがお腹にいた時にお気に入りの生地屋さんのセールラックで生地を見つけてお腹が楽な夏の洋服にと作りました。丈は足首くらいまであり長めです。
Same as my traveling skirt, it doesn't have a pocket as I was so excited and couldn't wait for sewing the fabric. When I make new one, in addition to adding a pocket I make the neckline a bit more boatneck like and add belt loops for a slim belt made of the same fabric so that I can wear it a bit more formal way too.
スカート同様、生地に興奮してぱぱっと縫ったのでこれまたポケットがなく（不便・・・）、次に作る時はポケットをつけて、もう少しきちんと着られるようにネックラインを少しボートネックのようにして、同じ生地の細いベルトを通せるベルトループもつけたいです。
I'm interested in designing this kind of nomad clothes for a while as a frequent traveler or a part time nomad. I wish I could prototype some this year improving what I sewed. It would be nice if I can make clothes that are functional, multi purpose and easy to coordinate with other clothes so that I can travel with less luggage and keep my wardrobe minimal. I was motivated to work on this topic after I talked about clothes, fashion and traveling with a digital nomad friend in Chiang Mai.
こういう普段の生活にも移動生活にも便利なノマド服（？）には長いこと興味を持っていて、今年はこれまでに作ったものを改良するなどしながらあれこれ試作したいです。手持ちの洋服を極力増やさないよう多目的に使えて合わせやすく機能的なものを考えています。チェンマイでご一緒したデジタルノマドのお友だちと洋服やファッションや移動生活について話す機会があり、モチベーションがあがっています。
I expected that I could find some interesting fabric in Bangkok as a souvenir but all the fabric I liked was already a cloth. That's life ;)
バンコクでお土産におもしろい布を買えるかと思ったのですが、いいと思う布はみんなもう洋服になってしまっていて残念。

綿ですか？肌触りの良さそうな生地ですね。
するするとしていてでもつるつるでなくて気に入っています :) さわった感じと乾かした感じではちょっと化繊が入っていそうです。
I like the fabric design - is it a natural fibre @akipponn ?
I think it's mostly cotton but it contains chemical fiber as the texture is a bit softer and smoother than cotton and it dries quicker.
That’s a pretty design on the dress! A long comfortable dress sounds nice to me right now being 5 months pregnant. I do have a couple that I love to wear around the house. I don’t get to travel as much so I just enjoy them at home.

私も、常にこのことを考えています。服に限らず物全般にそう思っているのですが、気がつくと色々増えている人生・・。
しかし、器用ですね〜！私も裁縫好きなんですが上の子が小さいとき洋服をよく作ってあげていたけど、最近は小物をたまにという程度・・。
色々作っていると下の息子が邪魔してくるのでなかなかミシンを出せません〜、泣
洋服は若い頃のアホな買い物を経て長く使えるシンプルなものに収束しつつあるのですが、台所用品と本がまだまだです・・・ほとんど同時に使わない12cmの小鍋が2つもあったり、衝動買いして一年に数回しか使わないパエリア鍋があったり、でもまだ懲りずにタジン鍋がほしかったり ;)
ミシン、小さい子どもがいるとなかなか集中してできませんよね。うちはペダルの上にのってきて、あわわわミシンが動くーみたいなことが何度か。都度 on/off してちょこちょこ縫っては一緒に遊んでで亀の歩みです。でも小さい赤ちゃん服は仕上がりに時間がかからないのがまだ救いです。
ほとんど同時に使わない小鍋二つ・・・・ドキっ笑

オカンが縫製の工場やってて見本を縫う人でしたが、あたしは？って感じですねぇ(笑)
