Wood Scorpion
This Wood Scorpion (Circophonius squama) is the only scorpion that I get on my block. In fact its the only Scorpion found in Tasmania. They range in size from 25 - 45 mm. They are found under leaf litter or under tree bark. At my place I usually find them under loose piles of rock. I have never been stung by one but I have spoken to people who have. They say it feels similar to a bee sting.

I guess one does not die after the sting...
Still glad we don't have them here.
No Australian scorpions have been found to be deadly.
One person I know had about 20 of these a day coming into the house.
That is a good news... But still having them all around the house and being stung is no fun.
Bee stings are no fun for sure.
