Dinosaurs in Tasmania at the Jurassic Swamp

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

Within the grounds of "Tasmania Zoo" they have 40 model dinosaurs, all life size, in a forest setting. They call it the Jurassic Swamp. If there are any palaeontologists among us, please feel free to correct the names I have placed on them as well as point out any inaccuracies in the models. I'm sure there are many. Are you planning to travel to Tasmania and maybe want to visit this exhibit? If so, be warned - the are behind locked gates and you have to be taken through by a guide. When I visited they rushed us through so quickly I did not have time to photograph most of them. They literally did not stop walking. I had to keep running to catch up with the group. Still, they are pretty amazing models and I'm glad I saw them.
