These small cute birds belongs to endemic species called Banded wattle-eye (pic. 1 - source: my friend Tereza Kralova). You could actually find this particular species elsewhere except in Cameroonian Bamenda Highlands - which Abongphen is part of (pic. 2 - source: IUCN species redlist). The worst is you could find probably not up to 5,000 mature individuals (the best estimate says 15,000 together with young individuals). If you want to really see them you have to come to Kilum-Ijim forest (also part of Bamenda Highlands) or to (20 km away) Abongphen Higland Forest where is our Misty Mountain Conservation Center situated (pic. 3 - source: Yelema production). They really like the place. I could observe them right from window of my hut.

Since it is quite small bird with not much meat it is not even hunted. The population is decreasing because of habitat lost. The species is strictly depending on forest cover. If we do not save Abongphen Highland Forest we could lost this beautiful flycatcher forever.
