Searching for Gold with Goldmatters ... in the Park

A few days ago someone was kind enough to give me this amazon gift card. I quickly figured out the best way to use it was to aid me in my Search for Gold series.

I made my purchase and today the package arrived. I had visions of the piles of gold this tool would find for me.

I eagerly opened the package:

And pulled out....

Ummm. Not exactly what I was expecting when I purchased a metal detector! I thought it would be a little well.... bigger?

Nevertheless ...

I persisted.

Not to be daunted, I took this cute little guy to the park.... and searched for gold!!

There’s a good chanced I looked like a nut carrying this thing around, but thats never stopped me before!

I randomly swept back and forth looking for any hint of metal:

AHA!! A playground! Perfect... those little rascals probably had tons of gold in their pockets that spilled all over the ground!

Alas, nothing.

Here I am maniacally searching in a panic for gold:

Finally, my heart skipped a beat as the metal detector went wild!!

It was just a pull tab, but it was MY pull tab:

I thought I had already struck it rich, BUT WAIT, there was more!

A bottle cap!!

A creepy left-behind non mene bracelet!

A tennis ball! (Found this on my own, didnt even need the metal detector)

While I didnt find any gold today, I had a lot fun and the things I did find gave me just about as much thrill as anything :)
