Luray Caverns, Natures 'Hall of Fame' bucket list of 'must see!'

Not too long ago my wife, Samira, asked if we can make a trip to Luray Caverns. I was not very interested because I assumed it is just another typical cave. And I have been to quite a few caves before. After all caves are just caves right? Not this one, to my surprise.

She talked about our friend’s recent visit and how impressed they were about their visit to Luray caverns and also managed to share some pictures that she saw in our friend’s Facebook page. Pictures were pretty unbelievable. The texture of the surface, the lighting and rock formation was just amazing. Those few pictures just compelled me to visit the place.

Last Thursday was the date we set to visit Luray cavern with our two kids. Unfortunately the weather was bad (rained all day) and we rescheduled for the next day (Friday). It was 2 and half hour drive from where we live. It was a scenic drive and we all enjoyed the drive as well.

We had bought our ticket online and the crowd was lean at the time we reached there, 10 am on Friday. Line was not that long and without any waiting in line we got to get inside the cave. It was a guided tour and it was pretty informative as well.

I would like to share few of the pics that I captured inside the Luray caverns. Pictures speak more than thousand words, right? So without more words here I present the beauty of nature, Luray caverns, in few pictures.
