Canon Photo Marathon 2018 - mypictureday
Canon photo marathons are always a lot of fun, tiring but fun. I'm writing this as i'm sitting here waiting for the announcement for the first theme. Then i get 3 hours to make an image and make it back for submission then wait for the next theme. There's 3 themes and this year the last one is a night theme.
This year is a bit more special for me because Canon Image Academy has chosen one of my images to exhibit at their booth! Yay, me! Lol. Anyways, the competition is about to start so I'll end with some images from my Samsung Note 8.

Ok, so the Marathon ended a bit after 10 pm. Tens of thousands of dollars worth of gifts and trips given away. The three themes we got were: 1) Solitude 2) Simple 3) Glow. Although I'm tired and didn't win anything, I still got a tshirt, a finishing pin and a Canon logo'd lanyard and had a ton of fun! I highly recommend trying one out if you get one in your city.
For those interested, some of the rules (at this event) are: 5mb jpg files submission limit, images must be shot on day of competition, no editing unless done in camera. Two sets of categories: Student and Open with School and team sections. Each category has prizes for each theme, Including best of show. There are also raffle prizes of which the top prize was return airfare for two to Munich.
