ScholarsPH Blog #8: Fundition Goal Achieved for Myke!

We have completed our first Fundition project goal!

This post highlights the completion of our first Fundition project! The @scholarsph account's power down has already been initiated in order to liquidate accumulated Steem Power so we can readily give it to Myke in the coming months.

On behalf of Myke, we thank you for your kindness and generosity. Myke is now guaranteed to receive a P1000 monthly allowance for the rest of the school year.

Myke receives your gift again

We've planned to publish this update post earlier in the week but due to a city-wide Paralympics sports event, we were unable to get a hold of both Myke and Elden for the past few days. We'll try to share the story of the event with you guys too next time :)

When Myke received his first allowance last month, he was able to pay for his chef's uniform. Earlier today we gave him his second stipend. Look at how grateful he is for the gift (and with a new haircut too).

He'll be using the money to pay for school fees which were due last August, and to pay for another set of uniform for Physical Education classes and an upcoming school sports event. Know that Myke is guaranteed to receive the same support for the rest of the school year.

Your support has empowered @scholarsph to give more

We were originally expecting at least two months of fundraising to complete the goal for Myke but we achieved it in just one month! And not only that, you enabled us to support two more scholars. Here's our current roster of officially sponsored students and we're looking into adding more soon:

We'll make separate posts about the actual grant awarding for Carlo and Elden, with Elden's post serving as his official introduction post too.

Now that we reached our goal for Myke, what's next?

We secured a year's stipend for Myke in large part due to the @fundition platform. Fundition, and everyone behind it and all its backers, have paved the way for us to make a significant difference in Myke's life. We hope we could make a similar impact for Elden and Carlo too, and all other future sponsored students.

The @scholarsph team has decided to launch a new Fundition project with goals focused on providing a year's allowance to Carlo and Elden.

There will be no changes in the main program and the encompassing objective will still be the same. Our aim for the new Fundition project would be to guarantee funding for Carlo and Elden. Despite shifting the focus of the fundraising project to the other two scholars, there will still be consistent updates about Myke and his schooling.

We hope to replicate the fundraising project's success for our next sponsorships. Aside from the three students who we officially support now, we still have five more financially struggling students who applied for the program. Accomplishing a Fundition project for each would secure sustainable support to every one of them.

• Transfer Steem or SBD oto @scholarsph account. All account funds will be distributed to the students including earned Steem Power after power down*.
