[2k16 Holiday Couch Sessions] Day Two: "At Last" (Etta James Cover)
A different song, raw and true, beamed to your ear holes daily from the comfort of my couch from now until Christmas, in gratitude of all the folks on Steemit being so supportive of music, art, and community.
Thank You and Merry Christmas
A Quick WARNING:
I did just get a new microphone (woo hoo!) but now everything I record has what I call "too many louds" on it while I learn to navigate this territory without a live monitor. You might want to turn the sound down a little bit. I promise I will gain (haha--get it?) the knowledge quicky.

Thank you! Mingle and jingle to you as well! :)
Nice one! Love that song.
Thank you so much, Luz!! :) I love this song, too. Calling it a classic doesn't even do it justice.

Absolutely lovely. Thanks Jess
Thank you for listening and for the wonderful support!! :)
Please take this criticism positively because it's for your benefit.
If this is an example of how you generally sing, your lack of technique will eventually destroy your vocal chords. Every note was breathy and this means that you are not supporting your breath properly.
Please consider lessons in order to protect your vocal chords and avoid singer's nodes, or one day you will wake up and you will barely be able to speak, let alone sing.
This is actually a very difficult song, so it requires excellent vocal technique, which is even more difficult to achieve when you are playing guitar. My daughter is singing it for her grade 8 Rockschool exam and even she wouldn't play guitar singing a song like this! Best wishes. x
