7-Day Wayback Movie Challenge: Day 5: Critters
Hardly old enough to operate my parent's VHS-recorder I decided to watch Critters which my father had recorded a few weeks before. I knew what Critters was about because I had seen pictures from this movie in the TV-magazine and also in our local video library. Of course I wasn't old enough for this movie, so I got nightmares. But this kick of adrenaline made me want to watch more such movies (My mother wasn't very pleased). And since that movie I like nightmares with monsters, demons etc. They're a little bit like interactive adventures to me (I know I'm weird). A further positive side effect of that movie experience was a very good school mark in my german lessons because I wrote a an exciting short story about it: My parents were out for a birthday party and I watched Critters on my own. I fell asleep during the movie and woke up due to some noise as it was in the movie. And so I was frightened that Critters are in our house. And so I crept into our kichten to arm myself with a knife. The door was opened... and my parents returned.
And in the movie there is a rock star (Johnny Steele) performing his Hit "Power of the night" which I still like today:
I nominate @paganlord.
