This week I continue my efforts to find some interesting compositions which include mountains in the scene. In the first shot, the couple in silhouette really caught my eye.
I have long ago concluded that an important consideration is to find interesting elements for the foreground. The rusty old freighter looked cool to me. I think that thing may actually be abandoned!
Take the scene below. What would this be without @shasta's boulder? This photo is a day late for #bouldersunday.
Another attempt at a foreground... The rocks and trees add a little depth to the scene. I do wish the mountains were more prominent, however.
Here's a much smaller mountain, but I was able to get closer and fill the frame. The sailboat and fog bank add some interest to the scene.
Last shot for this week. This is what I'm trying to avoid. Do you see how flat the image is without something in the foreground? How much better would this be with a tall ship passing or a pod of Orcas breaching?
