Monday Motivation - Do you smell?
I love dogs!
If you read my blog often, you may have read this before. I tend to repeat myself in some instances as I believe the old saying, 'If it is worth saying once, it is worth saying more than once.'
Dogs are wonderful friends and I have belonged to a dog or dogs most of my life. We recently moved and are now able to provide a good home for a dog again. My kids are throwing out stronger and stronger hints and I can see myself surrendering soon. I suppose you will have to read many blogs about the antics of whoever it will be who will take over our hearts and household soon.
You may have found the question in the title to this post a bit personal. Or at least I hope you did... 😁It may help if I explained a little...
Did you know?
Dogs normally start sniffing with their right nostrils. They will keep it there if the smell could signal danger or is unfamiliar. However, they will shift to the left nostril for a pleasant aroma like food or a friend.
The question on this Monday is this, 'Do you smell? And if so, are you a right nostril smell or a left nostril smell?' 😁 Not just for dogs, but for the people with whom you will interact this week.

One thing I can tell you about SE Asia is that the local people can smell westerners. Supposedly we eat too much meat compared to them and this makes us have some kind of odor. If it is not the meat, it is something else.
I was very self conscious about this when I got here and asked several people if they could smell me. They said, "Yes! Of course!" Little kids will remark on it if they get close to you; sometimes holding their nose.
I'm not sure about which nostril this happens with and I never asked any dogs :)

Very interesting, I did not know that about dogs ... What dog do you have? or what do you think to buy? I love them 😍 but currently I live in an apartment and it seems cruel to have a dog in such a small place, I always tell my husband that when we buy a house if I want a dog and my big daughter also wants it ... I like them the farmers, Weimar's braco or the Cocker Spaniel in case it is a small house.
and as for the essence of the issue of the publication ... I hope to be of great help this week to many people. This week is very stressful in my country, due to the economic announcements that the president gave on Friday ... we will see the next events, so I hope to be of support and help to many and that they smell me by the nostril LEFT. 😉
Very interesting concept. Actually its true. We will test with right nostril and if the aroma is good, we will use left nostril as well. kryptonian.
Hahaha, great post and something I did not know, I will now keep an eye on how my 2 King Charles Cavaliers sniff me. And yes, I do smell, of my dogs lol :) But, that is expected, in our home, everything is covered in doghair, I have to keep my suit in it's dry cleaning wrapper until I need to wear it, then lock the dogs outside before putting it on and then not sit down, and still it gets covered in hairs, however wouldn't have it any other way :)

Every day you learn something new, and I love this information, the dogs are great, I hope that my dog ZEUS smells me and keeps me with the left nostril.

The concept of using the right or left nostril is something I have not looked into before but I will see what my dogs are doing. Saw this on kryptonia.
