I just finished listening to the audio version of the book The Go Giver for the second time.

One of the laws is "The Law of Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment. The key is understanding the difference between price and value."
Sometimes we fail to give more of ourselves that we are capable of because we feel we are not being compensated enough or we won't get anything in return. The author also uses the analogy that we must first make a deposit before getting interest, not expect it to work the other way around.

Napolean Hill also makes reference to this point in his book "Laws of Success". You can listen for free here:

This is true for every aspect of life - if we want stratospheric success in business and in our personal relationships let's remember that we must give in order to receive. How can you implement this Law of Success in your life today?

The Go Giver by Bob Burg is a must read. You can also read more about the five laws: http://thegogiver.com/five-laws/

Sort:

i am now starting this book, i love Napoleon Hill and Bob Proctor, i read very very good books ;) a also listing sometimes to "the strangest secret" from Earl Nightingale.

I never heard of the Strangest Secret, will put it on my list ;-)

you can find it on you tube.
