Monomad - Plaza Lara

Plaza Lara
La Plaza Lara es un espacio público ubicado en el casco histórico de la ciudad de Barquisimeto. En sus cercanías se ubican, entre otras edificaciones de valor histórico, la Iglesia de San Francisco de Asís, el Centro Larense de Historia y el Ateneo local.
Este espacio fue en sus inicios, la plaza de un antiguo convento franciscano construido alrededor del año 1634, posteriormente se convertiría en la Plaza Bolívar de la ciudad, y luego de varias reformas, se transformaría definitivamente en la Plaza Lara, cuando en 1939 se colocara un monumento en honor al General de División venezolano Juan Jacinto Lara, héroe epónimo de la entidad. Posee caminerías y áreas verdes y posee importancia histórica puesto que fue el primer lugar donde se interpretaría el himno del estado Lara en el año 1911.
La fotografía original fue tomada a color en fecha reciente y posteriormente modificada con las herramientas que proporciona el editor de imágenes PicsArt. Espero que la disfruten.
The Lara Square is a public space located in the historic center of the city of Barquisimeto. In its vicinity are located, among other buildings of historical value, the Church of San Francisco de Asís, the Larense Center of History and the local Athenaeum.
This space was in its beginnings, the square of an old Franciscan convent built around the year 1634, later it would become the Plaza Bolivar of the city, and after several reforms, it would definitively become the Lara Square, when in 1939 a monument was placed in honor of the Venezuelan General of Division Juan Jacinto Lara, eponymous hero of the entity. It has walkways and green areas and has historical importance since it was the first place where the anthem of the Lara state was performed in 1911.
The original photograph was taken in color recently and later modified with the tools provided by the image editor PicsArt. I hope you enjoy it.
