I like the photo and I like the idea but I do not get the message ... what does a starfish have to do with skateboarding?

This metal starfish is meant to, in a decorative way, keep skateboarders from grinding on the cement edge. Many cement benches, curbs and other edges around here have metal pieces attached for that purpose. These do the job, but look good doing it.
