Of dance and movement
I started and stopped, and re-started again...
Both in edits of the photos as well as the text you see here
I hate it when I can't get or project the mood I want
I have posted and written numerous times about this, so it should not be so difficult... but it is...
Anyway, here's another attempt... in plain words, as it flows...
I wanted to just create hints of dance and movement -
this is 'Kecak', one of the dance dramas of Bali
And I am not going to flood the page with photos or too much text as this is not a blog about the entire dance but just visions that I would like to put out there
I have some links to some previous posts on 'Kecak' at the end of this post, if you would like to read and see more...
Hope you like these
And at Uluwatu where I shot these, the stage if you can call it that, and the audience, have full view of the sunset
(Yes, do order a sunset ahead if you plan on going...)
High on the cliffs of Uluwatu, with the sea crashing onto rocks below... a stone's throw away from the Uluwatu temple
the stage is the centre of this circular arena of stone seats
There is no raised platform
In fact we look downwards at the performance
And the main actors or dancers are these men who are bare bodied, wearing checkered black and white half sarongs, chanting "cak, cak, cak" synchronised in various melodious tones and undulating volume
The highlights you see is the light from the setting sun
It was almost dusk at that moment...
There are multiple layers of circles here, at two levels...
One group standing,
another seated cross-legged on the floor...
arms stretched upwards
Continuously chanting
"Cak... cak... cak..."

Wow! Those are gorgeous shots, and I think you captured the mood perfectly. That would certainly be a wonderful thing to see in person.

Yes, I've seen it twice in two different venues and they both offered very different experiences!

I resteemed this last night before bed @ackhoo, I was in a hurry to shed
Some steem/vote power and get to bed.
This seemed like a little different format, differing from your usual posts.
That is what caught my eye. Good Job.
And
Good morning
