C'mon British Steemians it's time to stand up and be counted.

I wrote this post 11 days ago now in the hope I could rally the British Steemians into action so we could form a collective to help each other in the same way the brilliant and talented @sirknight has done in Australia.

This post got me more Upvotes from Aussies than Brits! Why is that?

Is this great land of ours so divided that we can't come together to join forces to help each other here on Steemit?

I refuse to accept that!

The British Steemians who stood up to be counted and either reached out in the post, Upvoted or contacted me in other ways are named here as they are the first members of what will hopefully be a great community.

Not many but a start. I know there are more of you out there.

The post recieved Upvotes from a number of Steemians many with a rep above 60 and into the 70's from all over the world, Australia, Mexico, USA, Germany, The Philipines and Sweden.

What does that tell you? It tells me that the world wants to see us have a go at uniting.

As you all can see from my avatar I'm English but I have many friends from Scotland, Ireland and Wales and I love the four countries as we are so diverse. But deep down we have a unspoken commonality which has always brought us together in adversity. Let's use that commonality to come together here at Steemit and at least gives the Aussies a run for their money.

I love the rivalries we have within this island but it doesn't mean we can't come together here right now to form a union that no politician, race, religion or sport can divide.

What do you say? Are you up for it?

A union of like minded Steemians from all over this great land will be a formidable force and for those of us that love to write and wish to take it to the next level it could be the best support network yet.
The minnowsupportproject is amazing and @aggroed and the other witnesses and greeters at Discord have been amazingly supportive to so many minnows like myself.

I feel my posts have got better in the last few weeks as a result of the challenges set by @aggroed in promoting and supporting the cause, so if you are reading this but aren't sure what I'm talking about please click the links below read the information and join up.
