Medicine Card Monday #4 - My Gift To Steemit - April 30, 2018
The Weasel
Happy Monday Steemians! This is an ongoing Medicine Card initiative I started that commenced a few weeks ago, and today marks my fourth reading for the Steemit Community.
Medicine Card Monday initiative is my positive intention while I pull a card of healing for the community. This is different than tarot in that the cards I use are on the medicinal aspect of humanity other than the most common cards found in a tarot deck.
More specifically the decks I use are from the Medicine Cards that work with Spirit Animals, Mystical Shaman Oracle Cards, and the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Cards. The cards will assist in helping those interested, find comfort in things going on in our community and the world we are now dealing with. Namely, issues around the world, atmospheric, or overcoming health issues of all sorts, etc.
By pulling a card for Steemit this will in turn assist with my Medicine training, by training my intuition further (it can always use more practice), give back to the community, and help those seeking answers. I will take some of the reading from guidebooks provided with the cards, but also give intuitive and medicinal words to help our community. We all have days when we need encouragement, inspiration, and comfort.
The card I picked for the week of April 30, 2018, is as follows:
The Card
Starting in a sacred space with a clear mind and body I pulled Number 33, The Weasel - Stealth card from the Medicine Card deck by Jamie Sams.
The Reading
The weasel card is a person who has tons of energy and ingenuity. According to some, the weasel is not an easy animal totem. It is significant to note that it was ermine and weasel pelt that was worn by royalty. When we hear of some history, it is puzzling to see what people have worn, however, the weasel pelt is of high quality.
The weasel can hear what is really being said, the unspoken truths as some say. This is an amazing ability. The weasel's eyes can see beneath the surface and the overall picture of events. A very rare gift indeed.
An old oral story within the Native American culture tell us the weasel was sent out by the chiefs to enemy camp to gather tactical information. Weasel always came back with accurate information; how many enemy were against them, how strong was the enemy, and what were their weaknesses.
It was the tearful weasel who told the First Nation of the white boat people and said:
They have strong medicines and will tell us the way we live is wrong. They will try to gain our confidence. They stole thunder from Sky Father and it is in their weaponry. They do not respect animal brother or sister, and they kill. Their numbers are too many, and they will steal everything but our spirits. The great dark shadow of death has fallen on the People.
Weasel has the ability to change like his coat with the seasons. He is silent but has many lessons to teach. Observation is sharp, may be a lone, and hide away from others. The weasel is a powerful partner to have in business relationships and is highly intelligent. He will tell you what is hiding in the background of all things.
By pulling this card we can see a few things that can be applied to Steemit, in that if we can helps someone even if we are more on the introvert side, even a quiet support helpful to many.
We see many people working towards their own agenda, yet a community like Steemit is the hope that we are using our gifts for the good of all. Take the time to observe who needs help, attention, or a solution and offer our assistance. This does not need to be recognized by the entire community, but something that is just appreciated by the person gaining the help.
In our personal life, we may be feeling as if we are not sensing the big picture of where the world is going or if Steemit is the right place for us, or are we spending too much of our energy in one place. The weasel will help you to develop our inner sense so we can listen to our voice. This will in turn develop our perception to decipher true motives and intentions.
Weasel will help when facts are not so obvious to us, so we can ask the weasel for help in this area of our life, which is confusing and worrying.
Key meditative thoughts are to:
Look beneath the surface.
Be a detective and dig deep.
Honor the information that comes our way.
The truth is where we find it.

ok I'm back. Kid chaos here. I liked reading how the weasel was the messenger to the First Nations. The white man did just that.
The 2 things I should do more than I do already.
There is a shift in things all around and here at my home. Things that will bring more work for me on steemit as well as home. For both I will need to seek information and honoring it will make it solid and respected as well.
