Well a big thank you and shout out to the lovely @dswigle that does a stellar job every week of managing the Market Friday tag!
So this is my new setup. See my old computer monitor was about to give up the ghost. No worries, I been wanting to get a bigger monitor...just so happens that I have this Samsung 46 inch TV. Well that should about be big enough.
Well it sure does show graphs and numbers nicely! Only problem is that I then have no TV. Well looking at Walmart I see this:
Hey 500 bucks for 65 inches and good reviews. Yeah I want that!
Well it sure is a big Whammer Jammer! We barely got it in there. Just in case you are not familiar with J Geils and the Whammer Jammer:
Here are my custom, 10 minute (soon to patented), quality, hand made, made in USA, solid, 2x4 construction, TV risers LOL!
I did the same thing and started using a big television as a monitor. Works awesome.
Make sure you go into thecsettings and switch it from display mode (designed for performance under bright flickering showroom lights) for the best picture.
That is one HELL of a deal. Watch any sports on it yet?

That is a lot of monitor there and there are some things I am sure you don't need to see in big letters. (such as when steem is down! That would be more than I want to see
I am so proud of the rigging job you did. It is not everyone who could make that stand work like that. That is ingenious. And yes, I am kidding. OMG! You may NOT decorate my house.

Oh dont be jelly now! If you want a set, I am sure I can fit it into my busy schedule lol. After all they are soon to patented, quality, hand made, made in USA, solid, 2x4 construction finished with the finest polyurethane matching wood stain of whatever color I happen to have left over from a long ago project!
Oh, darn!! The guys from Fixer Upper are on their way over. I'm sure they will use the same methods. You should save yourself for your next Do-It-Yourselfer.

Now.... how close do you sit to the 46 inch monitor??? Isn't that like sitting too close to the TV ??? ..... you are going to be radiated.....LOL... of course if you start glowing, that will make a good post too. ha

It is INSANE how cheap large LED tvs are. I remember a few years ago that it was a black friday door buster deal for a 60" under a $1000. Nice pick up on the TV. Who knows maybe you can use that one as your next computer monitor.

Oh yeah it is nuts! I remember the one I am using I bought oh a good 10 years ago now...spent like 2000 bucks!!! That is why I was bent on using it for a monitor. I need to get at least another 10 years out of it lol. I have to say, I really am enjoying it though!

My wife and I were in Walmart tonight and I walked by that same tv. I looked at @mrsbozz and said dang that is a big tv! Very nice on both counts (tv and monitor).
