Cheese And More By Henry Willing For MarketFriday
Today I'm going to show you the most amazing cheese shop I've been to so far. It's called Cheese And More By Henry Willing (Cheese & More , Kärntner Straße 12, 1010 Wien). I've been in cheese shops in The Netherlands but those were not like this, although Henry Willing is Dutch and the whole business is based in The Netherlands.
Henri Willig's cheeses are world renowned. Every year, over one million people visit one of the three Henri Willig farms to witness the traditional cheese-making process themselves. The cheese-making demonstration and cheese tasting are popular attractions thanks to the authentic, traditional setting in farms of the Dutch province of Noord-Holland.
Henri Willig's cheese stores in Amsterdam, Delft and Edam offer an exclusive range of Henri Willig cheese products. These farm stores also sell aged cheeses from our own cheese making plants, delicacies and wine as well as gifts and kitchen utensils, such as cheese graters, cheese boards and fondue sets. source
If you want to buy a nice present for someone with exquisite taste, then this is the place.
Prices are a bit high but the quality of the products is exceptional. Trust me, I'm telling you from experience.
Look at that display and the packages.
What you see here are waffles. Dutch syrup waffles and Dutch honey syrup waffles. I've never had Dutch waffles but can't be bad. Those blue boxes are typical Delft blue models. Delft (The Netherlands) is famous for its blue delftware. I had the pleasure to visit the factory some years ago.
This is where things get interesting. Look at that shelf full of goodies! Goat cheese extra old, Goat cheese red pesto, Goat cheese truffle, Goat cheese lavender and Gouda young. You can taste them all without exception and you can eat as much as you want. During the ten minutes we were in the shop, the girls were refilling those little plates all the time and inviting people to taste the cheese.
A pack of cheese with a jar of honey mustard, a nice gift for someone. There are three types of cheese here. The green one is Herbs and Garlic, the red one is Baby Gouda, the purple one is Jersey Truffle and there's a yellow one which is Cumin.
We bought an extra old and a lavender, both tasted heavenly good.

I agree, I have never seen a cheese shop like this!! I have however had a Dutch syrup waffle right here in South Africa, and I did like it!! Perhaps you should try one!!
Next time I go to Vienna or The Netherlands I sure will 😀

Wow! So you went to Vienna! How many weeks for you. Vienna is one of my most favorite places to visit and I absolutely adore the opera house there. I haven't been there in a couple years maybe even 4 years. I need to get on that one right away. Anyway, your cheese shop is absolutely spectacular and I have been through a lot of them in the Netherlands when I lived there and honestly they were usually very small and absolutely wonderful but this seems to be on a grander scale. Perhaps because of the tourist industry? Or not having something like this available on a regular basis there? At any rate I absolutely could eat cheese for breakfast lunch and dinner and I can't believe that you did not try the Dutch waffles because they are yummy!
I am in love with the little delft pieces that I have although I don't have many but the ones that I have I love. You have brought me a market that is unusual, beautiful, and nothing like I've ever seen so I want to thank you for that and as usual you have then one of the star players and making Market Friday a success. I've been in Vienna for 3 days only, so you can imagine how limited my time was. I visited what I could but must go back one day and see more.
This cheese shop wasn't big but it was well organized and full of goodies. It's in the old historical city center, where the most expensive shops are so you can imagine the level of quality and prices. It was full, I had to work miracles to take these photos but I'm ok with that.
Delft is ♥️♥️♥️ for me, I have to go back there too 😁 Yeah, I have a long list of places. I'm glad you liked my cheese shop and hope to post more interesting stuff in the near future. Autumn craft fair is coming and I haven't posted the photos from spring fair yet but winter is long, so I guess we don't have to worry.
