Can one conceive of any reason for a flower's beauty excepting our ability to enjoy their exquisite splendor? Oh, please! Forget-me-not!
How can you resist the urge to put a little color in your world? The bright and bold magic of these gerbera daisies lightens my soul. Oh, come all ye faithful. Joyful and triumphant as we put the colors in the cart. Oh, my! Forgive me. Spring just carries me away.
Want to hang out with me in the garden today? I am going through to see what I want to plant this year and what better way than the local nurseries! Perhaps even stop over at the National Arboretum to see what they are offering up in the way of plantings this year. They have made it their mission to add plenty of flora to the population. Let's make our way over there! There are a lot of garden and plant sales going on from now until the end of April, giving you plenty of opportunities to buy and plant your flowers or shrubs.

The National Arboretum is located in Northeast Washington, DC. It was established in 1927 by an Act of Congress. The Arboretum is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service. I like to support the Arboretum and am interested in purchasing from their Herb Garden and want to look at their Azalea Collections. I'm sure they will be in bloom.

The azaleas are in bloom and so fresh and beautiful in their hot pink color. I would venture to guess that they would enhance any area of your garden or yard. The always offer the most diverse selection of azalea bushes.
I have been to so many new places lately! I love to share and be shared with! I have always and forever liked to see different fruits and vegetables or products that are being sold. Perhaps I cannot get them here. So, yes! I would love to see yours! Don't forget to take photos wherever you happen to be shopping - whether it be the grocery store, the local marketplace or even an art gallery. Wherever money is exchanged for a service or for merchandise. Be different if you wish! It does not have to be a traditional market! We will love it! I promise you! Sometimes hitting the pause button in life gives me just enough time to catch up, breathe a bit and enjoy the beauty that surrounds me, hear the laughter in the background and feel the sun on my face. I can even hear my own heart beating a sound of joy.

I always post this poem down at the bottom of my posts. It is one that has become so near and dear to my heart. I only post the most famous part of it, but, wanted to post it in its entirety today.
they set my aunts house on fire
i cried the way women on tv do
folding at the middle
like a five pound note.
i called the boy who use to love me
tried to ‘okay’ my voice
i said hello
he said warsan, what’s wrong, what’s happened?
i’ve been praying,
and these are what my prayers look like;
dear god
i come from two countries
one is thirsty
the other is on fire
both need water.
later that night
i held an atlas in my lap
ran my fingers across the whole world
and whispered,
"where does it hurt?"
it answered,

Loved the flowers - azaleas are so hard to keep alive in my clay soil, that I gave up years ago! I just enjoy them when I see them at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The first place I fell in love with them was on the Univ. of Texas in Austin where I went to college! They had beautiful ones along Guadalupe Street side of campus. Have a great weekend!

I've loved plants and flowers since i was a kid. It wasn't a popular thing for boys back then. Lol. What's that last one?

I thought it might be a dogwood! I've seen white ones in Vancouver BC. My family is from there and my mom loves them. We can't really grow them here in Southern California
It is and I love it! This one is the pink dogwood but I also have the white one at my house. Oh, yes! Vancouver loves them! Or they love Vancouver!
Southern California is too warm. I lived there! ;)

Aren't those forget-me-nots incredibly awesome? I always forget how beautiful they are until I see them again! They're beyond vibrant in my book. Well, not really but they are truly beautiful.
