Mini Rainforest Project: Introduction.
At the beginning of 2012, I started a 'project' in the far reaches of our backyard.
My aim was to reclaim this small neglected area of land and by co-creating with nature, reestablish it as a beautiful rainforest area.
For some time now, I've been wanting to document and share the motivation behind this project and Steemit has given me the perfect platform to do this now.
In my next Wednesday Green article I'll describe and illustrate the state of the area, as well as my own personal state of being after working on an environmental sculpture project for the previous two years. Both of us, desperately needing a lot of 'Tender Loving Care' and feeling the wonder and benefits of so many magical moments.
Magical Moments.
Magical Moments is not a 'challenge' ~ My vision is that it will become more a 'Curated Gallery' where selected contributions will be Upvoted and Resteemed and in time awarded ~ In some as yet unknown way.
Your article for Magical Moments can simply be an image or set of images and/or descriptions that have the power to transport your audience to the special space (outer and/or inner) that you were in, when you experienced that 'Magical Moment.'

Just breathing in this image of green fern fronds reminds me of the love I have for emerald green forests. And how being in these 'havens' gives me so many magical moments.
I had missed this magical picture...ferns are bewitching us in their swirling motion, I love to meet them in the woods ^_^

I love rainforests with the tall tree ferns Barbara. There are some really magical rainforests in Oz but they are some distance from Sydney. But there are still a few little pockets around where I live, along side creeks, that have a similar 'watery' atmosphere. They are my refuge and inspiration.
In my next article about reclaiming an area in my backyard, I'll be describing all the rubbish that I had to dig up out of the ground, just to make a start. Hope to publish it in time for Thursday Green.

I am finally starting to draw. Just the 'roughs' to put ideas to paper. I've been waiting to find those extra few hours in the day. But they don't come unless we create them. So late last night I 'created' some time and started. SO happy.

I usually tone the greens down in my images. But this time I wanted to show just how vibrant these ferns can be.
we got pritty ferns up here in scotland , ill get sum pics when i walk cora in my woods

Beautiful fern foliage. I love the fiddleheads on ferns.
It wasn't always that way @mostly.nature. The bracken was growing wild, most of it dried out and brown.
In co-creating with nature, I manicured it and then helped it green up and spread a little further. Also planted a few tree ferns with it as well. So it's such a beautiful green area now.
Yes. Love those fiddleheads ferns ~ Especially when they form a heart. So magical.
What makes this photo interesting are leafs that make circular pattern around young leaf. Beutiful capture dear!
YES: There is so much circular and intertwining and caring energy amidst these ferns now. So pleased you like the capture. Taken pre-Sony with my 'little inexpensive' Nikon Coolpix.'

Murky and very bare in patches ~ Beautiful in others. Yes, heaps of fun photographing all the broken glass and tiles that had been buried there ~ And the satisfaction of seeing the transformations. I sit there in the morning now and feel so blessed. A perfect 'You See ~ I See' story Marilla.
I started to tell the story of the creation and the surrounding influences of the 'Mini Rainforest' on one of my sites. But, and I know you'll understand more than anyone, it became bigger than 'Ben Hur' and the story came to a standstill.
Maybe the time and circumstances are finally right now to begin again. More next week.
