My first ever macro submission on Steemit - or anywhere else for that matter...
Shooting macro photography is really difficult and it tests your patience. Mostly because when shooting up close, you'll only get about 2mm of depth of field. To everything sharp, you're going to have to use the photo stacking technique.
Today I decided to take a walk to my backyard and shoot some flowers. It's not technically a backyard as I live in an apartment complex and there are always tons of flowers around. Even in the summer they'll always be planting fresh flowers.
The first time I went out I realized that I should have bought a speedlight. This time I took it with me - but I'll have to add a softbox to it to diffuse the light.
Overall I'm pleased with this image and I think it's worthy of sharing with you guys!

Clearly you know what you're doing!
Great shot. It's so vivid it almost looks computer generated.
Thanks for the feedback. Weather permitting I'm going to give the photo stacking and softbox a shot tomorrow - lol.
