Moonrise

I've not been as active on here the last few days as I normally am (pouring concrete and cutting down trees will do that to a feller) but I think it's time I change that. I don't know if this quite fits into @photocircle's abstract/minimalism category but it was a good excuse to post it.

This shot is of the moon coming up over Kachess Lake in Washington. At the time it was really hazy and smoky, thanks to a wildfire a few miles away. I'd set up to see if that would make for some good sunset shots but that didn't quite pan out. I still found plenty of places to point my camera so it was all good in the end.

Side note from this little adventure -- Finding a spot to camp over Labor Day weekend can be a bit difficult if you don't plan ahead.
