I don’t care so long as you nail the performance

Hi .
I am disappointed with this casting choice. And no, I am not being racist at all. Halle is talented and beautiful in her own right! And I have no doubt it was her talent that won her the role. Even so, every other live action remake to date has been true to its original animated version. Why change so drastically with this one? Disney has done a really good job with diversity in their recent films and keeping true to the locations on where they are based, France, Middle East, Norway, New Orleans, Scotland, etc. Aren't the Disney princesses suppose to embody all little girls?
What about the little redheaded girls who finally had a princess that they could relate to who looked like them? I don't know. Maybe it'll surprise me and I want to go see it but so far I am unimpressed with the casting choices for this movie.

i don’t understand this changes Disney is making. Just look what is going on with Mushu and the songs from Mulan in the live action. Why changing things that was successful for? I still love Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin because changes were minimum. Very disappointed with this casting. I also understand diversity, but it doesn’t mean it should be done in EVERYTHING.
Folks, try to remember these live actions are “re-imaginings” of the original Disney flicks - which were usually cleaner versions of stories not even owned/created by Disney in the first place. “Re-imagined” rarely means exactly the same! I watch these new films with an open mind.
