It was not what I wanted in the first place, a French car and a car without a towbar, but not much more available at this moment. And... time is money.

Not only the roadtaxes are skigh high.

In Holland you pay every month roadtaxes. The amount depends on the weight of your car and where in Holland you live! So if you own a car you pay. No matter if you drive it or not.

Train and busses are expensive in Holland.

If I take the train with my family (by car 1.5 hour by train 2.5 hour) it will cost me over 100 euro (one way ticket) and I have to walk to the trainstation or go by bus for abot 20-30 min. So a trip of at most 1.5 hour will take me 3 hours! Just one way! In my case it takes way too much time and too much money.

The gasprices in Holland are high.

They will increase again. This has nothing to do with just the Opec. In Germany you pay 40 eurocents less for 1 liter! In Luxembourg it's only 50% or less of what we pay. There is not one EU, "everything within the EU will cost the same", they said to us. A good reason to have one EU. After all these years I still do not see the benefit of it.
