Biting Off More Than I Can Chew

Do you feel overwhelmed?

I know I do. There are so many different things I'm working on and it feels as if every few days I add something new to the pile.

  • I can write on Steemit every day!
  • I can be the Dungeon Master and write twenty-two thousand word adventures for you guys!
  • I can work on my anarchist animated series!
  • I can start an animated series for Steemit!
  • I can make an animated music video for my friend!
  • I can make an awesome wedding video to show at my sister's reception!
  • I can do a hand-drawn portrait giveaway every few weeks on my blog!
  • I can work at my day job!
  • I can maintain a functional social life!
  • I can give my wife the time she needs from me!
  • I can coordinate the Sunday school programs at my church!

I'm sure there are more items I could add to that list. I bet many of you have a list that's just as long. 

Why Do We Do This To Ourselves?

Maybe you have a hard time saying "no", maybe you don't realize how much you're taking on until it's too late. Maybe you just like working.

All three of those reasons are true for me. But I know if I take on much more I'm going to run myself into the ground and deliver half-assed work for every item on this list. It's time to start saying "no."

Perfect timing @sethlinson as I decided I have to spend today making a list and prioritizing my day with a schedule. I am on overload and feeling it in my body too. Time for some much needed R&R on my back porch. :-)

One can only do so many things at once even with multi tasking talents and there's only just 24hours in a day and you've got to eat, sleep, poop, interact etc

Too much to do, so little time. I'm trying to make a list and starting from what needs to be done first. It might work for you. Getting too stressed out might get you sick and then you'll have more to catch up on.

Wow does this resonate with me. The saving power of a well-timed NO cannot be understated. Thanks for this reminder!

That's how it is! Make sure you structure and prioritize. :)

That's the trick.

Don't push 48 hours into a 24 hour day and yup you have to experience life in the time slot, oh and sleep is in there as well ;-)

I wish I didn't have to sleep. I could get so much done! Haha

Sleep is one of the have to allow for to get the brain to slow down and relax ;-)

haha please don't push your self too much. there is no sparepart for your body. say no, and give your body so time to rest. 😃😃

I totally know how you feel (although you are far more talented) so am resteeming this :)
