The Importance of Morning Ritual - The Empowering Way of Getting UpsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Have a nice morning my friend,

In the last few weeks i got quiet lazy, skipped my morning rituals. Immediately affected my days. I become less motivated in every area, started to get up late, procrastinate, observable signs of emotional instability. Hopefully in the end i realize that's this is not the right path for me and correct track as soon as i can.

A lot of successful person has a morning routine and there is a reason for that. If you feel that you can't go after whatever you want, you might take a few minutes every morning to shape your world.

Now i will just present what kind of morning routine i like the most, but you can make a million other variations for yourself. The main purpose of a morning routine is to get yourself into an effective state emotionally, physically and mentally.

  • I listen to some chill piano / meditation music in the bed. I can just start the music in a really sleepy state. Its eases the way to getting up.

  • Get up, wash my face so i am not falling back to sleep in my morning meditation.

  • Morning meditation, varies between 3-15 minutes.

  • Morning yoga 10-20 minutes:

  • Review my vision statement, goals and daily todos.

  • Have a healthy breakfast.

So this takes between 20 minutes to 60 minutes. It changes your day, worthy investment. You can start with just 5 minutes, see the effects and improve. I believe you should mostly start small with creating new habits and do not overwhelm yourself, which leads to failing after a few days. I have this long morning routine, cause i love it and really makes a difference in my whole day.

"Failure is just practice for success"

Rise and shine,
Robert

Something I have learned from someone wise, "when the shoe fits, kick it off."
Sometimes it is good to change the routines from time to time when it becomes too habitual, to kick start the body and mind into more awareness.
What do you think?

Yes, changing up things is mostly good i think. Here the main focus should be to "get yourself into an effective state emotionally, physically and mentally".
Back to routines, they are not the opposite of awareness/presence. You kinda need both sometimes, other times just one of em :)
