My Bedroom Walls
My wife and I have 3 pictures on our bedroom walls. 2 original Fleur-de-lis paintings we bought in the New Orleans art district that we paid a hefty penny for and the picture that you see above that my wife bought at a garage sale for a $1.
The $1 picture is more valuable to me than the other two as it provides wonderful reminders each day I wake up:
- Live Simply
Appreciate life and the simple pleasures. Stop and smell the roses.
- Dream Big
If you are gonna have goals, why not make them Big. Shoot for da moon. Every year we write our goals down on a piece of paper and put them on the fridge. We always throw in a couple of really big ones. Believe it or not, our success rate for hitting the "big ones" is extremely high.
- Be Grateful
Every day I wake up and I'm above ground is a great day. I cannot stress the importance of gratitude in a person's life. It keeps you humble, grounded, and for some reason just makes everything better.
- Give Love
Just be there for people who are important in your life. Wife, children, family, friends. Being present and open for other people is a gift you can provide every day. I don't really know what love is, but everyday I tell my children "I Love You" multiple times.
- Laugh Lots
Life provides many opportunities to smile and laugh. Whether it be laughing at the ridiculous predicaments life throws our way or cracking up at a funny comedian. I try to make sure I'm living life in a light-hearted way. Nothing is really that important. A light heart, big smile, and laughing lots goes a long way.
Value is not always the price something costs in terms of $USD, and many times the most valuable things cost nothing at all. Who can put a price on peace of mind, happiness, health, wisdom.

I.E. It could be a memory or piece of advice you were given. .

Words to live by 😎 Instead of writing my wishes down I call it dropping seeds, every day for a few weeks I dropped sailboat seeds....Where is my next sailboat? Not important I was broke, hehe. I was camped 1 hrs walk up a river with friends when a visiter asked....Cody your looking for a sailboat? Yes, And it started in motion me being appointed Captain of a 38-foot Catalina sailboat to start a charter business with. Woot!
Always make your wishes known or they probably will never sprout!

That's super-cool! :) A nice boat about 10 years from now is on my long term goal list.
My kids are still really young and they keep me quite busy at the moment, so it would probably be a waste now. . Shooting for when all 3 are in their teens and they can really enjoy the water with me. :) Nothing beats warm summer days on a lake/ocean/river. :)

This might sound cheezy af but for me that thing is basically eve 😂 friendship that we have is something i value extremely high. It’s awesome when you can trust someone your whole life and still be sure that you are not going to be rekt cauz that.
Yes, friendships can definitely be beyond a price tag. Especially the one you and @eveuncovered have. You can just tell you have that special chemistry together.
