What My Father Told Me #10: Learn something new every day.
Chief Friday Onyema is my dad.
The very first chief in my community and a reknown leader. He served his people right, resolving their boundary issues with neighbouring villages, overseeing peace keeping missions and ensured peaceful coexistence in my hometown.
One day, my dad heard me arguing with my elder brother and he came to rescue us from the unending disagreements we were having. While he was seeking to know our views to correct us, he discovered I was wrong but due to the fact that I love winning arguements I refused to accept that.
My father got pissed, dragged me closer, told me to hold my ears and look deep into the eyes of my siblings and then he said, "you will never know who's right or wrong untill you accept the fact that there is a probability that you're wrong. "
He went on to say, "be open to learn new things everyday. A new day comes with new lessons, learn them and make use of them."
I try to learn and apply something new every day that can bring me closer to at least one of my goals. I figure if you can learn one small thing each day, and then take one action to apply what you’ve learned, then over the course of a year, you will be 365 small steps closer to your vision. Learning never stops. You should be prepared to add and apply new knowledge every single day

Yes true,
" if you can learn one small thing each day, and then take one action to apply what you’ve learned, then over the course of a year, you will be 365 small steps closer to your vision."
Most people complicate life by not learning how to take responsibility for certain things. All thanks to dad, you are now a better man.
