Why i rarely upvote my posts: A paying it forward Act
In Finance and Business, every cent counts!
You can check Steemd or Steemnow, i rarely upvote my own blog posts; if i did, maybe until few days left to payout. Not that i do not need the 19cents or 23cents depending on the price of steem, but since i have no delegated Power; i choose categories of Steemizens to use them on both in comments or post rather than use them for myself.
Someone once asked me why, she speculated maybe it is because i have little power which sounds really funny, my response was how much has she invested in Vested Steem? Her question sounds interesting to some extent, because i was wondering if i had DSP,
Could it be i voted more on posts that earns me more curation rewards or i Upvote to encourage several new Steemians who are on the verge to jump Ship?

In my quest to pay it forward, i upvote sensible comments, i resteem Some posts i believe the Blogger have some potentials, i upvote Newbies even though their blogs seldom pops up in Feeds(i still wonder why we have to go to New to see Newbies posts) and lastly i try to navigate to find Veterans and Retired Steemians who Blogs fervently- Pity i only know a few and my votes doesn't give them as much as i want.
If thousands of Steemians tries this, irrespective of your Vest; and we used this to encourage more Users who struggles to stay on Steemit, then we would see a turn around in active users daily and monthly.
So my lil cents counts, and i intend to giv it to other deserving steemians like me who needs not sweettalk nor lobby to get some upvotes on their blogposts. It is the little we could do to make more people stay than running off- So help us God!

@Oluwoleolaide, you were more like a mentor to me when i joined here.
However what i noticed was painful, small groups coming together to upvote themselves irrespective of their content, well i upvote myself because it gets so painful when i write good content and after 3 hours i see 0.00, its not that im not hardworking i am actually, but well nobody wants to upvote you because they are not familar with your name.
I upvote my post, because my 1 cent makes me happy
Thank you boss, im resteeming
Yes i have seen that in folds, it only makes you appreciate your efforts after a while and after seeing how long you have come...Keep Steeming Brother, Never despair!
Wow thanks for this. I never knew. Tho am new and have been upvoting my votes always thinking is same as on Facebook. This post was indeed made for me.
Don't get me wrong; there is nothing bad in Upvoting your own posts....But at some point after looking how far you have gone you would want to have a sharing formula for others.
Wow I love your heart. Is of gold bro!
I don't know of a person who thanks himself after doing a thing.up voting my post seems liking am thanking myself for the good job or fine comment.I never looked at it that way but this your post is an eye opener.Thank you.I should limit up voting myself or stop it altogether.I appreciate you for this.Am @adore-eu
that's nice @adore-eu ; nothing bad in upvoting yourself by the way...
@oluwoleolaide bro, me too i hardly upvote my post. But to be honest i want to think that it is laziness that makes me not to upvote my post, because i want but i don't even if that post in particular payout is bad. Lol!
I know that feeling bro...😁
Well said bro. The sayings of someone with a large heart. Well done.
Oh, thanks ma'am...i value this ma
Your post has a decent value added to it so it takes a lot from someone who vested and receive little to no interaction. It is hard for the person who has no organization behind them and as a newbie the information is misconstrued to pay for upovotes, do self votes and anything other than beg for votes. This is what I am living and seeing.
Pains me this is not the Steemit we had enjoyed earlier in the year dear friend, hopefully thing would change
Yeah I read a few posts about how it used to be. I am new here so I missed those days. Hopefully it can go back with new improvements
Hmmm! @oluwoleolaide
You really think deep before you could be able to ascertained what it means to put community,s needs ahead your own needs.
These sank deep inside me:
What baffled me most is that most of the newbies don't normally get the attention they required and some steemians attend to posts based on the reputation of the steemian. Some steemians even prefer to upvote their own replies to a comment on their blogs while negleting those that took time to visit their blogs and even left a comment on the blog to shows they appreciate it.
How i wish some will realize that no matter how long they try to manage their Voting Power by not using it, It can not be recharged more than 100%.
Thanks for your insight and effort to keep this community going.
@maintain4real-eu
Well
You have a valid point here @josediccus ,it's something i have been planning on for a while now. Pity it's a hard call for some of them who really are stressed out with the curating task.
Well i cant judge, i just wish someday it can be better, its really hard bro, to see this
Trust me sir, there was a time i use to counter this type of people; you could comment and upvote it but ditch the post you commented about...It all would change sometimes soon brother.
Full Steem Ahead!
The title of your post catched me up directly... I was like you for fews months, never upvoted myself (I mean the posts I wrote). But at a certain point I got a lot of frustration seeing that rich people were upvoting their own shitty content and it made me sad and angry. So, to reduce the frustration I started to upvote my own content (with 0.10 cents ;-)). But at least, I felt less depress ;-)
It's great that you says :
But please, selfvoting on your own post isn't abuse... Especially. But yes, don't upvote your own comment especially when its not adding anything relevant to the post...
yes dear @roxane , i do upvote myself something but its just like a 3:10 weekly/monthly.
Well said! When I started on Steemit it delighted me no end to see my rep creeping up a little each day, so I try to give at least two votes daily to newbies, usually to those who have not voted for themselves.
Wow!
I finally met a like-soul, i do upvote myself sometimes in the past but i exhausted all my power trying to encourage many people like myself in my first months on Steemit.
You have my follow dear friend.
And you have mine. Let's steem on leaving no man behind.
I could attest to this mate, you been resteeming and giving me my tiny cents in months; anyone care to look should check through all those techy links to confirm.
Bless you man.
Thanks bro, bless you back!
