Life a few decades back
When we look at just 2 decades back, life was so different then. It was simple and easy, less choices and less confusion in life, that's what we believe. No social media to influence and even the main stream media was controlled, but now it all looks crazy. The fact is that these changes are inevitable. 20 years down the line, we will think the same that life was much simpler of the current times. But at the same time, I also believe that life was a bit complicated a few decades back and many things have been simplified with technology and a lot of things have been simplified.
A few days back I visited a museum in Oman and in the telecommunications part, I came across a radio. At the first look of it I was wondering that a radio is so common and used in current times also, so why does it hold any place of significance in a museum. Then I read up the article around it and I was very amused. The story of the radio was that till 70s in Oman if anyone wanted to get a radio, they had to get a permit from the ministry to buy. Only a handful people in Oman had this instrument and they did not have any local channels, they had to tune in from neighboring countries. Imagine, today there are some 100s of channels and it is such a common thing. But in those days, there was a very heavy process and cost to get it and enjoy it. As I said, life was not always simple in some ways a few decades back.
Even if we talk about the GPS system today, which makes it so easy for us to navigate even the most remote parts. But here I also have another view, these tools are developed not only with the intention of convenience but also with the intention of surveillance. It does make life easy and it also takes away our privacy. Every benefit also comes at a certain cost, there are no free meals served here.
We will keep evolving and while we simplify many things for us, we will also make a few things in life complex. This was how it was life a few decades back and life now. New inventions and discoveries will keep happening and we will keep moving ahead with them. As it is rightly said, change is the only constant thing in life.

You're absolutely right; looking back at the past, life indeed seemed simpler and less complex in certain aspects. The absence of social media and limited influence from mainstream media may have contributed to a more straightforward way of living. However, as time progresses, changes are inevitable, and with the advancement of technology and the proliferation of information, life has become more intricate and fast-paced.
Times keep changing and along with that life as well, it's best to accept the change and go with the flow.
The world is constantly changing but our life has an end.
