This might sound crazy!

Here is one of my weird experiences in life... i always have this strange feelings whenever something bad is about to happen to either me or someone i care about. i know this is kind of difficult to believe or understand and i won't blame you if you call me a liar or something because it's so strange that i don't get to understand how this particular feelings actually works.
When i said i always know when something bad is about to happen, it's not that i see it like in vision or something but a strange feeling of sudden melancholy.. To be honest, i do not know how to explain this particular feelings or the right word to use.
This is my worry! whenever i have this bad feelings, it's certain that something bad is about to happen or is already happening... I understand it's a gift of knowing but what use is a gift when i can't stop the bad thing from happening? I have prayed and meditated just to be able to understand how to harness this particular gift in changing bad impending circumstances to better ones but i haven't been successful so far and when i mean so far... its, been over 20 years and now i am beginning to think of this gift as a "CURSE". because what is the purpose of having such gift without been able to control it?
I do not know if there is someone out there who has got this kind of experiences and have been able control its effect, i will appreciate any help i can get to understand these feelings better. So! here is the dilemma of a confused man.
