Is peace possible?
I like to dream about this idea, to think that we could make peace between each nation, to get along with each other, to understand the others' actions and to accept them.
This weekend I had a talk with my sister about peace, and why we as humanity, even though we have made huge progresses in technology, healthcare, all kind of sciences, we are still in the middle ages when it comes to work together as a society. This is also the case of greed that is present in each and every action that we take, even as a single person, or as an entire country.
People compete with each other in school or at work. Most of the times they would do many things to be the best. Then schools/companies compete with each other, and it is the same for towns, or even countries. Why are we still divided?
We are all people, and we have a single planet. We should share it together and watch it grow, not try ti kill each other for supremacy.
If you just think about it, it is possible. But we don't let it happen...
There is a high possibility that there would have been other forms of life in this universe. And there is also a high possibility that the reason why they haven't contacted us by now, is that they have self destructed their species. This is sad, but same time this is exactly what we are doing with this environment and with ourselves.
We can do so much better than this, so what are we waiting for?
