Peachy Beers!
Peachy beers?! Who on earth would ever think that such a thing could actually be a thing, never mind being a beer thing?
Not I!
So, it's Saturday, hurrah! The end of a very long and arduous week. I must apologise and be perfectly honest, I am not at the top of my game this week as I have had a close bereavement which is making me a bit all over the place. But pffft. This isn't griefbook or griefit so let the grand game continue.
So. Peaches.
It was a fantastic song.
But how can them arsey looking fruits actually stack up in a beer?
I have my doubts but never let it be said I am afraid of anything.
So, the Acid Brewing Cartel. This will be the second beer that I have tried from this mob. The first was the utterly delightful Acid Mango which garnered an impressive 9/10 booms.
It's a sour ale, fermented with Belgian yeast, is their yeast any different? I went out with a Belgian girl once and she kinda smelled the same as every other down below. I guess we will see.
Can they repeat their magic, only this time with peaches? doubt it, peaches are shit...
Ahem, methinks someone's cup is frothing over! Damn, its a fizzy, frothy, Mr Whippy type affair. What beer I can see does look a delightful hazy gold. I don't smell any peaches despite the claim on the label to have a kilo or some such nonsense of peaches in it.
Ah, what a delightful sour this would have been if not for the detestable taste of peaches shining brightly through. I mean they weren't overpowering or anything. But they were indeed a distinct and noticeable taste.
I was going to mark this about a 4 or 5 but then instead of throwing the muck out, I asked the Good Lady if she wanted it. She did and proclaimed it magnificent. So, on that basis I will up it slightly, 7/10 booms!!
Hot diddleys, let's get moving.
Number two!
Ah, Fierce Brewing! The creators of a beer based on Cinnamon Buns?! They really did - proof Even more astonishingly it scored a massive 10 BOOMS!
So as you can see, I ain't choosing my peach beers lightly!
This one is a NEIPA, New England IPA that is. I never know what the New bit is all about? Anyone know? Don't make me google it? Unlike the last one's claims of many kilos of peaches, this one says it has a wee bit of peach puree.
Maybe it won't be gash then?
Let's pour this sunuvvapeach.
JINGS! You might not see it in that photo so let me try and get a closer look.
It actually has little things floating about in it which I can only presume is peach puree, I have never been closer to vomiting.
Besides that though, it actually looks the business. A russet unapologetic gold. No head, just a little wisp of white.
Aw man, this stuff is ace. Unbelievably the peach is not readily apparent and instead just adds a little fruity sweetness to the IPA which already has that fruity hop kick. I like it muchly! Providing I don't look down at it whilst it slops into my mouth and see all those little foosty bits.
A grand 8/10 booms!
What a week it has been. What a week. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Sorry for your loss @meesterboom and simultaneously commend you on your strength of character.
As for the "peach" - ANYTHING with peach in it has my approval!!!!
Cheers Sir and much love to ya!!!
xxxxxxxxx
Cheers lass! Anything with peach indeed. Bleuurgh. :0p
hahahahahahaha!!!!! At least it is a good smelling blurp ;)
Lol, that is true. Maybe I will change my mind on them!!
hehehehehe... I have heard pineapple has it's uses too LOL
Blue that's an acceptable fruit. It tastes magic!
just not on pizza please!!! (don't make me block you) lol
Oh don't worry, I'm not one of them freakoids. It's the most hideous thing on the planet. It's worse than... it's worse than your average peach beer!!!
I think they're my sort of beer, I do like peaches, one of my fave things about summer, and that song is awesome, a true work of creative genius!
Odd choice of beers if you don't like peaches, then again I guess you got to push yourself.
Sorry to hear about the bereavement.
Cheers dude. It was a mad choice but I always like to push myself out of the box a tad. When I tried the cinnamon bun one I thought it was going to be awful and it was one of the nicest beers I have ever had!!
Hmm, well New England refers to a group of states on my fine east coast such as Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island, so perhaps its referring to the style of IPA's they've been putting out? Vermont has some really excellent breweries :)
Definitely need to get my hands on some Fierce Brewing beers!
Aha! Now that's an explanation! I really like em, they fair pack a flavour punch! I bet you can get some somewhere! If I could ship beer I would!
Sorry about the bereavement 😕 hope you’re less all over the place soon. Sounds like you and the good lady can drink to it with the peach beers?
Hope the rest of the weekend is good 🙃

Can't be soon enough for me!
It was nice actually as we had write the chilled beer sharing time! Normally she things my beers are poo :0)
Condolences to you and yours :'(
Always keep your mind open as you never know when you will run across a keeper. At least the Good Lady got some refreshment as well!
Cheers lass :0)
That's the open mind thing I love to do with l which made me try these despicable bastards, lol!
Nice.... Peachy fuzz kinda sounds like the name a stripper would choose after one two many pints of... Peachy fuzz 😉
Also, 'acid brewing cartel'... I'm sure I saw them at Glastonbury in 98 off my nuts on some type of suspicious looking paracetamol.
But on a more serious note. I did try a mango cider on Friday night that was a fruity little number.
P.s. on a properly serious note, I'm sorry to hear about the close bereavement. I hope you're bearing up ok meesterboom
Ahaha!! The suspicious paracetamol!! Oh the times I have had with them, ;0)
I have never tried a mango cider, that sounds quite nice, I have had a fair amount of mango beers before that have been top notch. The first time I tried one I was convinced I would hate it but no.
And cheers man, getting by
Sorry you have to get your suit out again and is never easy. The wasp was even scared of the Peach beer and we could see fear written all over your face. Wasp beers is it for you if there is such a thing.
The season of suits. Meh.
I am rather terrified of wasps, although to my credit I drowned about 200 of them out summer when I like a nest :0D
"I have had a close bereavement" - hope you are okay. I thought now since the good lady like the beer you will show us where you two enjoy it haha - well you are brave drinking something you do not like. Have a good week.
Aye, I'm ok just about.
Hehe, we enjoyed it at the garden table. She did not want her mug on Steemit though, I did suggest it!
I was expecting this song
Hehe, well that would have been a fine one too!
Did they peel the fuzz from the peaches first? That may be the reason for the tickle in the back of your throat this morning.
Back to your favourite bottle shop on Friday to see what other "findings" he has made.
He is a hack, subject to the Whitney if the next fine looking thing! I can't blame him, I am too!
