Halloween Beers!
Saturday!! Steemit is working great and the spookiness of Halloween is just around the corner. What could be better then than spooky beers? I hope these beers tickle my fancy as much as my normal choices.
So let's get stuck into the spooky!
Hobgoblin, a traditionally crafted ruby beer apparently. A 5.2% number from the Wychwood brewery. Let's unleash the fear!
It pours nicely. The Raven approves. In fact I might even have heard a Nevermore?
As for the taste. It's quite beery, a good amount of hops.
Not a total punch in the knickers though. It's almost like it doesn't quite dare enough when it comes to being bold. I think a pleasant 6/10 for this one.**
This one was originally brewed for Maine beer week! An American sensation! 4.9% from the Shipyard brewery... Although brewed under license in the UK by Marston.
Pours a beefy amber. Looks like a formidable beer.

Oh my, this is quite nice. Malty with a hint of rye and toffee. Very flavoursome. I like it, the kind of beer you can drink a lot of and it just keeps tasting better and better. This little American beauty can get an 8/10 from me.
I am glad to have a few beers to drink tonight. Now that we are well into the swing of this parenting lark!

Boomstick oldMaster Boom. Boomstick. Go watch Army of Darkness. Always nice to read about the beers. Me and my buddies @exyle, @bennierex and @fabrew had quite a few this night at a tasting gathering. Best we had tonight was Brewdog Elvis Juice. It's a grapefruit IPA and it was soo damn tasty ... get your hands on it if you haven't yet. Cheers 🍺

Did like the Hobgoblin, yet not one of my all time favorites. Stuck again with the Hoegaarden Grand Cru, my current 9/10. Too easy to drink... ;-)

I'm surprised the Hobgoblin one disappointed. But, I guess those little tricksters have a way of tricking us into thinking stuff. The Shipyard one really missed a great opportunity to name it "Little Hops of Horror" instead haha! A 6 and an 8, a trick and a treat. I'm glad The Raven approved! Nevermore!!

Hahaha! Yeah! Crazy how we were able to carry on long comments with that nested limit. I remember us agreeing to test the limits of the new change, which is exactly what we have been doing all this time haha! I really wish people would mine that data and give us the trophy already!

Now that is an awesome hat! Such pretty purple hair too... Shipyard brewery does have some fine brews! I will get up to the land of moose one of these days, it's the only state on the east coast I've never been to!

That communication was superior to anything half of the posts I've perused over all of Steemit, starting late. Shipyard is a quality brewer. The Pumpkinhead tastes as though it has a dab of real whipped cream on it. Still puzzled by that one. Ogre is great, however played somewhat protected, it appears. Here's to you! plies one vote
