Golden beasts! Killer Crabs!!! What a beer weekend this is promising to be. The good lady is away, learning the secrets of the feminine and that means Big Stewpit gets a chance to come out and play! (My rarely seen alter ego)

It feels like a good day for a beer so without further ado, let me get stuck in...

Golden Beast, I must say, these chaps certainly know how to name a beer. Even better, the blurb on the bottle claims all manner of nonsense about antlered beasts and otter barley.

Sounds a bit nuts? Yes! So let's pour this cheeky otter of a thing.

It looks a bit plain. Like it's name should be Mariella and it's sad that it hasn't been invited to the grand ball. It's golden at least. So it has fulfilled that part of its name. Not much of a head. Oh well, let's sling it down the hatch.

It's rather pleasant, very hoppy at first but that fades quickly into a slight fruity bitterness. At first I was tempted to think it was too smooth but it is quite a pleasant drinking beer. The more you have the more you want.

A pleasant 6.5/10 booms.

Which takes me on to the majestic beer below.

I hope everyone gets the Simpsons reference which I assume this beer to be talking about.

It's bloody strong. I am looking after the little lady this weekend on my own so I had better not have six of these or I will be waking up in the Big Hoose as they say!

Amusingly, apart from the head it is quite similar in looks to the last one. A bit cloudier thankfully. The head is a big frothing cloud of white wetness. Very enticing. It also smells rather good.

Well that is quite the splendid beer. It's bitter as an old man on a park bench who has run out of cigarettes but in a good way. The bitterness is a chewy affair and lasts long after you have swigged a gob full down.

It's very moreish and astonishingly, possibly dangerously, it doesn't taste that strong. I think that might be the oats, they always have a mellowing effect on strong hops.

I will give this fellow 7.5/10 booms

Magnificent, well, I am going to drink a little more but not get mad with it as they say here. After all, it's responsible parenting weekend!!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Cheers!

Thank you for posting @meesterboom.

Lovely illustrations, video clips, and reporting.....a splendid use for vocabulary indeed.

These two sound so different yet quite delicious......will give them a go.

Appreciate the introduction. ^__^

All the best.

Cheers.

They are well worth the trying. I hope you get to find them! :0)

Done! I've just binge-read 10 days worth of your posts. I think I deserve a beer after that.

Wowsers, that is quite incredible! You definitely deserve a beer after that!

His posts are classics!

maybe you won't end up in the big hoose, but you sure have gone to the big horse ;-)

Haha, yes indeed!!!

Cheers Mate!
I don't always comment cause you're quite the popular fella.
It feel like writing a fan letter to a celeb.
BUT
I wanted to say you were the first steemian that caught my curiosity. You were the first fella I thought was cool. You, @Papa-Pepper, @Stelabelle, @fyrstikken, @Sykochica.... and then a whole bunch more from there.
BUT you've always been one of those fun intangibles that keep Steem good times.
.
HAPPY 2 Years Old STEEM! Thank You for introducing me to the MEESTERBOOM

Cheers man!! That's very nice to hear! I try to keep it vaguely real and you are more than welcome to ever comment. I am just a regular daftie, lol!!!

Attack of the Killer Krab sounds pretty good. I have a thing for strong beers and this is right up my yard. My next IPA brew will also include Amarillo dry hops so it should be good. Thanks for the review.

You are most welcome! It is quite the beer, those hops add quite a distinctive flavour

Saturday's dinner @ Big Stewpit ,
slinging stouts and lagers down the hatch.
Total chaos and anarchy , imho !

It was quite civilised in the end up!

Yeah , I noticed it , after reading the whole story !
After a few paragraphs, I closed my eyes , for visualization of the whole.
My imagination started running around my brain and a mad and raw story evolved .
At this point in time , I wrote previous zombie comment as a dark writer.
After a little time , I shook up , with the well-known nod after a weak moment behind the PC.
Then I continued my journey in this story and seperated my fantasy from reality.
God bless these great sunday's.

Haha. Have a great week ! :xD

Piss up Saturday is here lol enjoy your beers :)

Raar, I sure will. Did you know the clocks go forward tonight!?!

Yeah and not happy about it. I need that hour in bed :(

Snap, that's why I am running off to an early night now!!

You have little ones. You need that extra hour plus a few more

sob I never got it, I have been up for an hour!

You will need a nap later

BEER! Good, Good meester. Gulp that beer down.

I, too, have found my most favorite of cheap beers. I can't often find it, but yesterday I did and bought every last one on the shelf! Hurricane High Gravity, 40oz for just $2.75 - nice! :D

A bargain!! I will have to keep an eye out for that!

I give you 10/10 booms for that review! :D

I love a 10/10 booms!!!

Have you try to drink it with a little slice of lemon in it?
Delicious!

Ha! That's how I drink my tea!

not really :0)
