Using SMARTcash The Right Way
My Kmart Experience
Today I went to a Kmart to pick up my wife's online order. She had the order completed two weeks ago, so one would think by now the store would have the items ready to be picked up. Of course that is not to be true.
I waited in the layaway section for over half hour and when the clerk tracked down the order she, mentioned, "the order is pick" means the store is having an employee "picking" it. Yet it is not ready for costumer to receive.
If the clerk was not a old looking baby boomer who looked like she just worked a 12 hour shift I probably would have yelled. Two weeks after the order and another wait at the store and now you tell me it is not ready? Yet I bit my tongue and moved on.
When I was leaving the store to buy a couple of kitchen utensils the clerk at the register could not quite figure out how to use the register. She kept clicking the touch screen but did it for more than five minutes. Again another old lady that looked tired so I felt bad and did not complain to her for the wait.
Overall my experience with Kmart today was down right horrible. To see an employee could not work their own store equipment was depressing.
Watching the employees holding the scanner to try and determine where the bar code was and what to input in the register in order for the sales to go through. It all seem so cumbersome.
Then I remember the video I watched with the interview of some smartcash developers. They had an example of using an app to automatically receive and send payments with the use of smartcash.

Are quick and simple payment methods that Kmart could use to get their services done faster and more efficient.
Throughout the time I was at Kmart both employees that was helping me looked lost when navigating through the technology. It was sad to see Kmart using old registers, scanners, and computers while trying to serve today's consumers. No wonder Amazon is beating brick and mortar retailers.
Yet imagine if smartcash was accepted throughout Kmart. How simple and easy it would be to log in the payment and kept track of.

I can see if a cryptocurrency can be easily adopted then many retailers can use it as a form of currency. I felt bad watching the old people trying to figure out touch screen this, button there, bar code here. It all looked very confusing the way they did it and I think this process is only making the die quicker.
Those employees are trying but the tech seems too complicated to follow. Hope smartcash or some other crypto get into these brick and mortars soon. That would be earth shattering to say the least.
my big critique of crypto is that it's still too complicated for the general public. If they can't operate touch screens, how they going to get their head around all the jargon in crypto ? Don't forget crypto is a tiny minority of geeks on the internet thing, it would need to be dumbed way way down before the public would accept it.
it'll need to be something like a card that they swipe, like they do now, but with a crypto wallet on it rather than a fiat bank.
it's just a matter of time, my parents resisted online banking for about 10 years but now they're quite comfortable with it.
