My first chemo therapy treatment
Today is my first day of chemotherapy. I’ve been extremely emotional since they called me yesterday and told me today was the day. I’m the type that over thinks about the side effects.
It’s almost Thanksgiving and I was looking forward to enjoying the holiday. I hoping I will still get to enjoy it and not feel sick. I’m not sure I’ve ever really thought about what I’m thankful for around this time. This year I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful for my 3 healthy sons @aaronthegoat @daniel-san @theharvey . I am so thankful for my love @runridefly !! He has been right next to me through this journey and I know it’s been hard on him.
I love you babe with all my heart! I can’t wait for this to all be over... we will need a vacation!!

I would seek out some MMJ to cope with the sickness and appetite loss. We have friends who used it to help them.
Thank you for the prayers! I already have some MMJ... it helped me so much through a horrible infection I got after the biopsy so I have it on hand for chemo as well👍🏼 I stayed away from pain pills through some of the worst pain I ever felt!

This is 8 hours after you posted your message. I hope all went well today for you or as good as it could have.
I am too which is why I never ask what they are...... I know it sounds dumb but that's what your family is for..to let you know what to expect.
YOU just be YOU and keep positive!!! THAT is your only job through all of this.
I'm not saying don't know what is going on with your body..but the more you stress the more/worse you will feel. Let your family help when you need it most and it sure seems like now is the time.
LEAN on them. It's what family is for. Times like you will now have ahead......until you go on that much needed vacation then you might owe @runridefly a beer or You know.........that thing.......they like........ :D
YOU and your whole family are in my prayers. I know you don't know me but I hope I at least made you smile. Maybe, just maybe.....make you realize now is the time to let the family do its thing.

Thank you so much! We are lucky that we do have so many family and friends that want to help us out. So far I feel ok but I know the hard part is coming.

I know several people who have been through chemotherapy, and you can rest assured that things have come a long way in the last few years. Most of the chemo medications now cause much fewer side-effects than they once did, and medical professionals have learned some great techniques to minimize and manage what side-effects do present themselves. So, it is really nothing to worry about nowadays!
Also, the more relaxed and positive your outlook, the better the treatment will work! It sounds like you already have a loving family behind you, and now you have some of us on the blockchain cheering for you, too! We're with you! YOU CAN DO THIS! 💛
I really appreciate your kind words! I have so many people there for me but it never hurts to have people all over cheering ❤️ And yes they have so many thing I need to take or do to help with side effects. Just got to follow their instructions.
