Dad let's play together?

Hi friends this is an introductory post to a series of posts that I will publish weekly.

Anyone who knows me or who reads my posts knows that I am a happy dad.
The birth of my daughter Chiara was for me an explosion of new emotions, never experienced and intense that have positively turned my life upside down.

When I think of October 31, 2013, the date on which my daughter was born, I feel and relive the emotions of that day as if I were catapulted back in time:

I have goose bumps, I look at that newborn with closed eyes and I see an incredible resemblance, it's me in the mini version and in the female version ...
A very strong and new emotion assails me, I feel an irrepressible desire to cry and laugh at the same time. I feel an "never tried" explosive mix of sensations that, in fact, immobilizes me, I am literally hypnotized and enchanted by that small and defenseless creature.
Even the time has disappeared: there are no longer the seconds to mark the passing of minutes but only the breaths and small movements of a child accompanied by the rapid sound of the beats of my heart.

Six years have passed and I am happy to be part of the most beautiful club in the world: the club of the dads.

Time is the most precious asset

We were brought up to think in terms of money. When starting a new job, the first factor you think about is earnings.

And the time factor?
How long will it take me daily to do the job in question?

Friends, time is the most precious asset we have.

Of course, you cannot live without money, but money is the means of having more time and time is not the means of having more money.

I work a lot and I do it for one purpose: to have more time to devote to my affections.

It is also true, however, that having time and wasting it is perhaps even worse.

Patience and time

Some of my friends often say to me: blessed are you who have such patience.

The truth is that over the years I have understood the great importance of time, my time.

And why should I waste it?

Arguing for trivial reasons, being sad because my favorite team has lost, queuing for hours for the latest smartphone model, queuing in front of your ATM when there is a free one nearby even if not from my bank ...

No thanks, my time is important.

Every minute I lose unnecessarily is a minute that I could dedicate to Chiara, to my sister, to my father ... it's a minute that I could spend chatting with a dear friend of mine ...

Playing with our children / grandchildren

Spending time with our children / grandchildren is the best way to spend your time and give it the right value.
In the game I rediscover serenity, I recharge the physical and mental batteries.

The game is also an opportunity to stimulate the mind and raise our children.

Take for example a simple game of board game Monopoly.
The first times I played with Chiara, when she lost, she started to cry and got angry, or at other times she tried not to follow the rules just to win.

I never facilitated her in the game.
If Chiara doesn't follow the rules of the game, I stop playing, if she cries, however, I don't make her win.

Now, after many games, he plays and has fun and when he loses he tells me:

Dad let's play another game in Monopoli? I'll win the next one!

Here is the time of the game, in addition to giving me carefree moments, it offered me the opportunity to educate my daughter and prepare her for life.

The joy and amazement of children

The main difference between an adult and a child is all contained in the perception of time.
A child lives in the present and thinks only of the present: what game can I play now? I don't want to go to the doctor!
A child rejoices and is saddened by what will happen shortly. He will complain that he does not want to go to the doctor not the day before but only when the time comes to leave the house to go to the doctor's office.

An adult lives in the present but constantly thinks about the future: what will I do tomorrow?
There are bills and a mortgage to pay, work is often uncertain, in short, there are many things to plan and program ...

A few days ago my city was all covered in snow.
Chiara comes to me and says:

C: Dad, are we going to play in the snow?

I: Love I have to finish working.

Taken from work my answer was automatic ... but then when I saw my daughter with sad eyes, I immediately thought:

What a nice dad I am, when I was little and there was snow what did I want to do more than anything else?

Come on, quick love! Hat, scarf and jacket ... let's dive into the snow!

We played, laughed and joked.
How nice it is to be carried away by the joy and amazement of a child for the snow :)

The girl you see in the picture is my daughter. The moment I took the photo, Chiara thought well of throwing a snowball at her dad.

Just for the record, the ball hit me in the face :)

When I play with my daughter I remove all worries and thoughts, I live the joy of the moment and relive the joys of when I was a child.

Papà giochiamo insieme?

Ciao amici questo è un post di introduzione ad una serie di post che pubblicherò con cadenza settimanale.

Chi mi conosce o chi ha letto qualche mio post sà che sono un felice papà.
La nascita di mia figlia Chiara è stata per me una esplosione di emozioni nuove e mai provate, emozioni intense che hanno cambiato e stravolto in positivo la mia vita.

Quando penso al 31 ottobre 2013, data in cui è nata mia figlia, sento e rivivo le emozioni di quel giorno come se fossi in un attimo catapultato indietro nel tempo:

Ho la pelle d’oca, guardo quel batuffolo con gli occhi chiusi e vedo una incredibile somiglianza, sono io in versione mini e in versione femminile…
Una fortissima e nuova emozione mi assale, sento un’irrefrenabile voglia di piangere e ridere allo stesso tempo. Sento un “inedito” mix esplosivo di sensazioni che, di fatto, mi immobilizza, sono letteralmente ipnotizzato e incantato da quella piccola e indifesa creatura.
Anche il tempo è scomparso: non ci sono più i secondi a scandire il passare dei minuti ma solo i respiri e i piccoli movimenti di una bimba accompagnati dal sottofondo assordante e veloce dei battiti del mio cuore.

Sono passati sei anni e sono felice di far parte del club più bello del mondo: il club dei papà.

Il tempo il bene più prezioso

La società in cui viviamo ci ha abituato a ragionare in termini di soldi.
Quando si inizia un nuovo lavoro spesso si considera solo il guadagno, solo il profitto.

E il tempo?
Quanto tempo mi richiederà questo lavoro?

Amici il tempo è il bene più prezioso che abbiamo.
Ovvio che senza soldi non si può vivere, ma sono i soldi il mezzo per avere più tempo e non il tempo il mezzo per avere più soldi.
Io lavoro tanto e lo faccio per un unico scopo: avere più tempo da dedicare ai miei affetti.

E' anche vero però, che avere tempo e sprecarlo è forse ancora peggio.

La pazienza e il tempo

Alcuni miei amici mi dicono spesso: beato te che hai tanta pazienza.

La verità è che crescendo ho compreso di quanto è importante il tempo, il mio tempo.

E perchè dovrei sprecarlo?

Litigare per futili motivi, essere triste perchè la mia squadra del cuore ha perso una partita, mettersi in fila per ore per avere l'ultimo modello di smartphone, fare la fila davanti al proprio bancomat quando vicino c'è ne uno libero anche se non della propria banca...

No grazie, il mio tempo è importante.

Ogni minuto che perdo inutilmente è un minuto che potevo dedicare a Chiara, a mia moglie, a mia sorella, a mio padre e a mia madre...è un minuto che potevo passare a chiacchierare con un mio caro amico...

Giocare con i nostri figli/nipoti

Passare del tempo con i nostri figli/nipoti è il modo migliore di impiegare il proprio tempo e di valorizzarlo.

Nel gioco io riscopro la serenità, ricarico le mie batterie fisiche e mentali.

Il gioco è anche un'occasione per stimolare la mente e far crescere i propri figli.

Prendiamo ad esempio una semplice partita a Monopoli.
Le prime volte che ho giocato con Chiara, se lei perdeva, si metteva a piangere e si arrabbiava, oppure altre volte cercava di non seguire le regole pur di vincere.

Io non l'ho mai assecondata, se barava smettevo di giocare, se piangeva non la facevo vincere.

Adesso, dopo tante partite, gioca e si diverte e quando perde mi dice:

Papà voglio la rivincita!

Ecco il tempo del gioco oltre a regalarmi momenti spensierati mi ha offerto l'occasione di educare mia figlia e di prepararla alla vita.

La gioia e lo stupore dei bimbi

La differenza principale tra un adulto ed un bimbo è tutta racchiusa nella percezione del tempo.
Un bimbo vive nel presente e pensa solo al presente: quale gioco posso fare adesso? Non voglio andare dal dottore!
Un bimbo gioisce e si rattrista per quello che succederà a breve. Si lamenterà che non vuole andare dal dottore non il giorno prima ma solo quando arriverà il momento di uscire di casa.

Un adulto vive nel presente ma pensa costantemente al futuro: che farò domani? A fine mese devo pagare le bollette, a fine mese ho la rata del mutuo...

Qualche giorno fa la mia città era tutta ricoperta di neve.
Chiara viene da me e mi dice:

C: Papi andiamo a giocare nella neve?

I: Amore devo finire di lavorare.

Preso dal lavoro la mia risposta è stata automatica...ma poi quando ho visto mia figlia con gli occhi tristi, ho subito pensato:

Che bel papà che sono, quando ero piccolo e c'era la neve cosa volevo fare più di ogni altra cosa?

I: Dai amore svelta! Cappello, sciarpa e giubbotto...andiamo a tuffarci nella neve!

Abbiamo giocato, riso e scherzato.
Quanto è bello farsi contagiare dalla gioia e dallo stupore di un bimbo per della semplice acqua cristallizzata :)

La bimba che vedete in foto è mia figlia. Nel momento in cui scattavo la foto la biricchina Chiara ha ben pensato di tirare una palla di neve al suo papà.

Giusto per dovere di cronaca, la palla mi ha colpito in pieno viso :)

Quando gioco con mia figlia rimuovo tutte le preoccupazioni e i pensieri, vivo la gioia del momento e rivivo le gioie di quando ero piccolo.

Con questi post mi piacerebbe condividere alcuni tra i momenti di gioco più belli che ho passato con mia figlia.
Fornire magari lo spunto ad altri genitori su possibili e divertenti giochi da fare con i propri figli.
Tramite i commenti e i consigli che riceverò, conoscerò nuovi giochi da fare con Chiara.
