Indigence and begging, serious social problems in the world - Personal experience

in #life6 years ago (edited)
I took the risk in addition to the risk of photographing several people in this condition, I also allowed myself to speak with some of them, after this experience I can say and affirm that none of them thought at some point get to be in that situation.

And is that if we stop to think a moment, we all go through that stage of childhood, in which we were spoiled, in which our parents visualized us as professionals, with better living conditions than theirs and in which we could perform all our dreams

So, what happened? At what point did they stop being those people with big dreams and came to this condition?

To define begging use the concept of the following link, in which they define it as "the action of begging and the status and situation of a beggar." The beggar begs for alms or request the favor of other people, supporting themselves partially or totally in this way."

There are different types of begging, we can see it as practice in many children who for different reasons should go out to ask the street, we can also see many young adults and older adults doing this practice.

The causes are multiple, according to the following Source Social inequality, unemployment, labor exploitation, various accidents, migrations, advanced age, wandering and self- abandonment, mental illness and even the refusal to receive help, are among the main reasons

The idea of this post for nothing is to make a detailed and/or detailed study of this topic, it is rather to share some images that I can capture through my cell phone in addition to my opinion about it.

For visiting my blog thank you very much.

Welcome to my new publication.

I must emphasize that I assumed to write about this topic because before leaving Venezuela, I saw more and more people in these conditions, both children and adults, even career professionals were arriving at a deplorable condition, largely due to the economic situation of the country.

I am currently living in Bogota, Colombia, and even though I am not even close to seeing the number of people in a state of begging who could find me in the streets of my country (Venezuela), this situation is still present in the streets of this country.

I wonder if it is a reality in all the countries of the world, because (for example) even when I have not visited the United States, in films, programs, television series can also show people in this social condition.

Unfortunately I must emphasize that a large part of them are Venezuelan compatriots, who came venturing, without a plan, without having where to get and have ended up even living under bridges, or in makeshift homes in the least imagined places as shown in the image of side, where you can even see a wooden house for the dog.

It is difficult not to do much for them, rather than give some guidance, or give a plate of food, they are many, and not much money is earned, not so much to help them all.

For me it is very strong emotionally to see this reality, in the case of Venezuelans, because I know that the situation in my country is not easy, and leaving is seen as the only option for many. And I can not deny that even though here there are not too many work options, with a minimum income it can be solved, I am even better here working as a salesperson compared to how I was in Venezuela working as a doctor, it is absurd and illogical, as well as sad, but it is my reality.

Unfortunately many leave looking for improvement and they only get worse than what they were there.

Another thing I think about is that it will be those people once they get out of that state, what happens with their mentality, with their way of thinking, how they change after such an experience, psychological help is more than necessary.

What is the family of these people?

It is known that many times they reach that condition, despite receiving help, that vices dominate their lives (drugs, alcohol, "shoemaker's stick", among others), or some mental illness, very adverse economic situations, because the causes they are multiple, but I think it is very necessary that more actions be taken to reduce the incidence as well as the cases that already exist.

There are some institutions, and even people who are grouped to help voluntarily, but it is not enough.

This post is very personal, it is my vision, or rather, part of it around this sad reality. After sharing some minutes with these (also) human beings, nothing is the same again.

Have you had the chance to approach some homeless or beggar and share some experience with him?

For reading me Thank you very much.

Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Note: I want to give special thanks to the @emeeseese team, @bert0, @hiroyamagishi, @minotaurototal, @theghost1980 who with their permanent support to the Venezuelan population manage to help alleviate a bit the harsh situation in the country, although Do not believe it, they are very helpful for all Venezuelan steemers.
