Energy medicine

So I went on a one day energy course yesterday and there was a lot of interesting things to take in.

The woman who was speaking told us she has always been able to see energy even as a young child. This sounds like some cool superpower which I would like to have but just like everything in life some people have certain abilities other people don't. She said she had to teach what she has learnt over the years because she feels it's a gift she can use to help people.

We started off looking at the human aura and how each of us have one but how equally each of our auras are quintessentially different. We looked at excercises we could practice to expand or decrease our auras if we felt we needed to.

We looked at chakras and how there were two more than I originally thought. There are the 7 chakras we are usually told about but also a chakra around an arm's length directly below our feet and above our heads.

We looked at Dantiens and Ying Yang vortexes as well as the heart field and it's effects on ourselves and other people and nature.

We looked at meridians and briefly how to trace them. This is actually something I want to start learning to do as it is said it can really aid in the balance and flow of energy in the human body.

We also looked at simple grounding techniques you can use to ground yourself as well as discovering what 5 rythm element we were ie water, wood, fire, earth or metal. And ofcourse you can be a combination of any of the elements.

At the end of the class we looked at individual points on the body you could either hold or press which would influence many of the energy systems in one go. Basically these were like cross points on the body which would effect ie the meridians, chakras, heart coherence etc.

Overall it was a fascinating day and there really is so much more to learn in depth. I think there are 4 or 5 year courses on this so yes there is a lot. I may look into some courses as I am fascinated with energy medicine and how we can heal ourselves naturally.
