I BECAME A CIRCUS LOVER OVERNIGHT IN CARRÉ AT THE WORLD WINTER CHRISTMAS CIRCUS
As a present we we t to CARRÉ WORLD CHRISTMAS CIRCUS. Carré is so beautiful!
Carré is nowadays mainly used for musicals, pop concerts, music, theater and cabaret performances. The Dutch Opera and Nationale Ballet also occasionally use the venue for performances that are less suitable for their own theater. But in december its Circus time. What a great monumental venue.
With My fisheye lens I Made these pictures. Carré is also round.
We were sitting on the right Where the artists leave the stage, and on row two.
So we could Almost touch the horses and artists.
The horses and acts are so soecial. They use white and BLACK beauties, and 11 horses in one act was amazing, little D was standing on his chair due to the excitement.
The funniest was the act not by the three clowns but by Wlofgang Lauenburger. He and his 9 dogs are so adoring. And the were All wiggling with their takes so this must be a match Made in heaven, and a dream dog job!!🐾
Getting ready for the loose cord act. The act is by Li Wei from Guangzhou, China. He is the golden clown winner in 2008 in Monte Carlo. He is A-MA-ZING !! And the special cord act of Li was a groundbreaking revolution in the world of circus rope dancers. The scary thing is that he does all acts without safety measures about 10 meters above the Carré floor. Li Wei has worked at Cirque du Soleil in America.
We saw Ivan Frédéric Knie with the horses, Bellisimo acrobatics from 3 really beautiful ladies, Equivokee clowns from Ukraine, Maycol Errani with the Dutch Friez horses. We had a performance by Molly from Canada the first female solo clown.
Li wei as I me tioned before, the kozak act by violetta Alexandrova Serzh with 9 white beautiful stallions. The dogs of Wolfgang, Duo Kvas two men with extreme balance and strength. The mongol group of Nomuna. Two dancers and two ring artists from Russia oleksii and Marina Grigorov. Last but not least the Shanghai circus contributed with the modelling Groupon acrobate. All in All a huge party. Going to do this next year again. So I am a circus addict now. Love it!!

@lizelle this was the BOMB the crème de la crème of circus land! I had No clue, but next year I am going again. Those people are un human so good.
Sounds amazing! I went to see the Great Moscow Circus when they came to South Africa a couple of years ago and was mesmerized! It's always uplifting seeing a great show not so, food for the soul!

aahhh it's been so long long time ago I watched the circus, it was when I'm 10 years old! never seen such beautiful and amazing action like you did and Thanks for sharing all the pictures and story about it @brittandjosie. The white stallion look so beautiful!
I was like 8 and that was a small circus. Never dreamed of going to this one. But I recommend it to everybody if you get the chance I was a child again loved it

I don't like it when they use animals, the main reason for me not to go. But I learned from a friend that there's a lot of 'modern' circus now with less animals and even more emotion/story to it. I'm curious to learn more about that :-) Gorgeous photos and glad you had an amazing experience!
Well metoo, but these dogs are the dogs of the artists and the horses have their own personal vet and a personal caretaker they are loved not a scratch on them I think that this high end circus is not compairable to the ones I hate like in the polder I dont go to them😉 but also Carré i never was There before but the ambiance ! Amsterdam was special ! Echt waard volgend jaar weer
